I think I read the spread is currently Jets (-3) so Vegas basically believes the teams are equal, and the Jets get the 3 for being at home. I think that is a fair spread since we truly don't know much about either yet.
I don't think this is a good matchup for Buffalo. Oline hasn't played together and your Dline is fierce. Can't really attack your corners with weak sauce at WR. Buffalo D plays zone which works well against mediocre QB play. I think Darnold will do fine against it. Jets 24-Buffalo 17

Tru - Poole - Roberts - Adams - Maye is an NFL secondary. It’s not one that’ll win us games, but it’s enough to not lose us games and not screw over a pretty good front 7. The only question is whether or not Tru and Maye are ticking time bombs and how well we can handle losing either (or both).
The season is finally here. We survived months of yet again more draft blunders and much needed management changes and roster purges. We might not be there yet but its a start. Now we can all focus on watching a team that hopefully plays hard and smart, never gives up and does whatever it takes to win the game. With the new season, we will mercifully trade unpleasant memories of the dreadful past for a glimpse of a brighter future. My special thanks to all the TGG insightful posters that kept our interest alive and well even during the darkest of times. Biggest wish for me is for the team to stay healthy and jell together as the season progresses. May the mighty L Bell ring loudly and often. May our offense control the tempo of the game, keeping the defense off the field. May our score margin be positive enough not the depend on a last minute field goal. I don't think my heart could take that. Above all, win or loose, I want to see a team that comes prepared, plays hard, and gives us hope for years to come. TGG rocks. Go Jets

I think this will be a coming out party for Le'Veon Bell. 160+ All-Purpose yards against a great Buffalo defense. And with a dual threat @ HB I feel we'll begin to see how special of a QB Darnold can truly become. Bell will open up Robby Anderson too, because defenses will have to focus in on Bell as they once did for Martin; leaving Robby and his speed one on one on the outside. Yes. I can not wait to see Bell a Jet!
