I mean, on the one hand, just take a knee you fool, but at the same time, a guy catches a kickoff in the endzone and tosses it to the ref...and it takes a discussion for them to figure out he was giving himself up?
There is a part of me that says the Jets did not want Sam running around out of the pocket that much because they weren't sure his spleen was up to repeated hits, BUT, if not and the game plan was to keep hin pocket based as much as he was that is horrible game planning. Allen out of the pocket is a huge weapon and Sam is close to his ability to keep a defense off balance. Almost without exception Sam looked much better out of the pocket delivering passes than standing there throwing off his back foot on so many occasions...
Allen is a better runner than Sam, no doubt about it. Sam can extend plays, but he can't make defenders miss on designed runs. Having said that, the Jets should get him out of the pocket more. And that shouldn't have been any more dangerous to his spleen than keeping him in the pocket and letting him get drilled there. At least out of the pocket he can throw it away without getting flagged for intentional grounding.
Just tuned in a little while ago.. The Texans are a joke and then listening to Booger and his clown sidekick is like adding insult to injury..ABC has to blow this up, cant take them
The Bills season opened with a 16-0 comeback, and the Bills season might end with with a 16-0 meltdown.
