I don’t trust 49ers and Aaron loves to lay an egg at home at playoffs. So anything can happen next week.
In the biggest pressure situation the Saints offense had, Brees easily moved down the field to force OT. And that was the last time he saw the field. So if it’s just pressure situations you are concerned with, why no mention of their D failing to make a stop in OT? Why no mention of Lutz missing an easy FG before the half? Your statement is as shallow as it appears. The old losing QB choked narrative. Don’t mind me it’s just a huge pet peeve of mine.
one thing is apparently for sure, either McCown or Wilson will be called a choke artist before the night is up, depending on which team loses.
Damn that 40 year old journeyman backup quarterback, what a choke artist. Can't believe he didn't throw for 400 and 4
What are you talking about? Not only is Russell Wilson a proven winner and SB champion (opposite of a choke artist) but he performed excellent tonight (has only lost 1 road game all year thus far). Wilson was remarkable while playing on the road in Philly. He just went out there and went 18/30 (60.0% while hitting 6 different players), 325 passing yards, 1 TD with 0 interceptions, put up a 53 yard run, was only sacked 1x by Philadelphia's defense and while on the road he put up a QB Rating of 108.3 (of all the QB's who played Wildcard weekend, only Watson of Houston had a better QB Rating than Wilson's Eagles performance tonight). Even if Seattle would've lost, there was no choke in Wilson's gameplay and road performance tonight. He played outstanding.
I dunno about that, he was like 1-4 with 3 yards. I think McCown kept them in, but wasn't going to lead them to a win Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I dont like Green Bay, I also dont see the 49ers blowing the Vikings out. I think the Vikings can beat them.
Not true. Wentz or no Wentz the Eagles weren't beating Seattle tonight, as Seattle has been the much better team all year long. Wentz started off the game 1/4 for 3 yards and a sack and was not going to eliminate Seattle tonight (Wentz couldn't beat Seattle week 12 @ home in Philly neither). Heading into 2020 next year and Wentz will then be in his 5th season come next year, and with 0 career playoff wins too. Tonight was his 1st ever playoff snaps and he got injured. He's anything except a "lock to win a playoff game" ala he's never won one before. To say he beats Russell Wilson, a proven competitor is a little naive....
I agree with this. McCown actually played good, probably even better than Wentz would have played. Seahawks would have stepped it up to, it seemed like after Wentz went down they kind of just coasted anyway.
