So adding fuel to the fire of the trading up rumors: https://www.ganggreennation.com/2019/4/26/18518651/2019-nfl-draft-rumors-jets-looking-to-trade-up But this is what jumped out at me: "Many reports indicated that Mike Maccagnan was desperate to get the Jets a second round pick after dealing away the team’s original pick to the Colts last year." So once again, more evidence that passing up on Mahomes/Watson in 2017 has cost the Jets dearly. Sure, I love Sam, and by way of accepting reality I'm happy he's on the team - he's going to be the best QB on the Jets since Namath IMO. BUT...look at what it cost to get him, AND Macc was dipped in shit lucky that he fell to him at #3! This is why Macc needs to be fired. Look at the TOTAL COST of his failure to draft a FQB in 2017: - Missed out on Mahomes who will be a HOF'er if he stays healthy. - Burned three high draft picks to even try to recover from that decision in 2017 - Could've used his #1 last year to get an Edge or top OL, plus the 2 2nds to fill other gaping holes. - Would not have to consider mortgaging even more draft capital to move back into the 2nd round now. It looks like Macc is scrambling to save his job, and he's right to worry since his record shows he's not a very good GM.
Relax - there's no indication at all that such a thing has been considered by the MacCagnan or anybody else at the Jets. It looks simply like the musings of a guy on a message board as far as I can tell.
Now there's chatter that the Jets are talking to the Colts about trade up. Watch them rape Macc for our own second rounder.
Whoever the dude on NFL Network is, he just said that when the Jets were talking about trading out of #3, Bradbury was the target, so they could be angling for him here. Personal opinion: They're clearly going to be trading the 2020 #1 here, right?
Lmao...he should be ashamed of himself. God damn coffee drinker is about to trade up for some 25 year D3 player who nobody has even heard of.
