I have to ask you guys, do the Islanders blow this lead under Barry Trotz. That’s what they did last year, score a lot of goals and then give up the game.
Excellent three game road trip. 6-4-1 after starting with 8 of 11 on the road is better than anyone could have expected. Time to make hay now with 6 of the next 8 at home.
This is the difference we were talking about, last year they lose this game because of poor defensive play. Excellent defensive scheme by Barry, Thursday we face them again.
Last year it would have been 7-6 ... maybe a win for the isles, maybe a loss. We look much more disciplined this year. Up in the third we took few chances and played a strong game grinding it out along the boards. It’s way better hockey than last year if less exciting.
Not just the 8 out of 11 on the road but 7 out of the 11 teams are legit teams, and undefeated in our division having played the top two teams. Everybody else may be expecting the bottom to fall out but I think we have reason to be optimistic.

Just more of the same with this guy - absolutely no production, horrible attitude, yet somehow nothing is ever his fault.
I liked him I rooted for him I wanted the Isles to bring him up but right now I could care less,,,,,,trade him if possible or just release this ass clown he does not get it and maybe he never will
All Speed and skill, no grit or determination. In today's NHL, bound by cap rules and silly contracts, there is no room for one way players. Everyone has to buy into the team concept and I can't think of a player who would match up worse with Trotz than Ho-Sang. I would love for the kid to get his head on right, but at this point I don't see it. The best way to react to his situation is shut up, learn, and work your ass of. He's 0-3 on those.
The rematch in the home and home with the Pens tonight. The Isles better be ready as I am sure Pitt will want payback for Tuesday.
