It is. I can't stand the fact that we never made a move to add defense or even attempted to fix the goaltending. You can get away with average NHL goaltending if you play great defense. You can get away with play loose if you have a great goalie to bail you out. You can't play loose team defense, have sub par defenders, and lukewarm goaltending. It cost us valuable playoff experience this year that he never even tried to fix things when DeHann went down.

Ledecky doesn’t want to take attention away from the playoffs. Good to know his primary responsibility is what’s good for the league not the team.
Ledecky is the face of the ownership group. The one who meets and greets the fans and deals with the media but its the owner we don't see Malkin who is the real power in the ownership group. Malkiin is the multi-billionaire and the one who is paying most of the bill with buying the team, payroll , Belmont arena. Ledecky is more like a minority owner. Malkin is the one who calls the shots.
I check out Islander boards and there is a poster on there who has gotten many things correct before they have been announced,,,,guy says JT is already signed that they just for whatever reason are waiting to make it official,,,take it for what its worth but this guy has been really good with info
I could see them waiting until after Lamiorello was hired to announce it, but it wouldn't make any sense to not announce it now, so if that is true we should know about it soon.
