Nice pic of UBS. Let's hope we get in the win. Next two at Chicago and Columbus. Both very winnable.

Sorokin saving the Isles' bacon repeatedly in the first two periods, and then the good guys explode in the third period for the 4-1 win. Wahlstrom with a particularly strong game.

Upsetting news about Bossy - sending good thoughts his way.

I’m going to just consider this game the first game of the season.

Finally a win, albeit against a bad Chicago team but a win is a win

Another forgettable performance tonight. At least they got a point.

Laine, that’s a guy I’d live on this team.

That's four games so far without one to be happy about.

    Starts each season under Trotz:

    1: 3-4-1

    2: 1-3-0

    3: 3-4-2

    4: 1-2-1

They will be fine. This is all on the road this year as well. I guessed 6-5-2 or 6-6-1 or something like that on this monster 13 game road trip. Slow starts are nothing new for the Isles with Trotz.

Nice win tonight 3-0. Despite the slow start they are 2-2-1 on this 13 game road trip. Which is respectable.

So far offensively this is the best period they've played this season. Plenty of chances but Lehner is a good goalie...

Horrible second period but Sorokin... still 1-0

Barzal in the toy department, after Lehner stones the Islanders repeatedly in the third period!

Sorokin with shutouts on consecutive days, the first Islanders goalie ever to do that.

The injured Knights were the perfect opponent for a back to back. I’ll take it.

3-0-1 in their last 4. Sorokin with back to back SO's. I guess the sky isn't falling in Islander land after all. The Jets that's another story. What a mess we have with our football team.

Practically shutouts in 3 out of 4 when you discard the Hawks garbage goal, and he looked completely comfortable last night even on the hood shots by the Knights.

Looks like the transition from football to hockey will be starting quite a bit earlier this year .... too bad getting Islanders games for me is a PIA
