They're playing poorly, and they're playing stupidly.

    Have to pull Varlamov immediately.

Poor performance all around, and moronic fighting at the buzzer. Stupid.

    True.

But your Islanders did what they had to do. They stole home ice.

Lightning failed to do what they were supposed to do. They gave up home ice.

I'm a casual Rangers/hockey fan but I'm rooting hard for NYI. Not only because Zach Wilson and our Jets have caught hockey fever but because longtime suffering Jets fans who also love their Islanders; deserve it.

Brooklyn Nets? Different story. As an NYK fan I hate that $$$team..

It'll be awesome to see the Jets make the playoffs while these crazy Islanders players pay homage and return the favor while Giants/Islanders fans begin to root for the Jets (as we once did for them against N.E x2).

Your Islanders are awesome man. Fighting the defending Stanley Cup Champions. And the way they battled (and beat) Boston? Seasons already a success for you guys, just for eliminating BOSTON (imo).

Last night was going to be a tough game to win. Tampa had to have it and they played like it. Still the Isles got the road split and come home 1-1. The only thing I would have done differently last night is I would have kept Sorokin in after Varlamov got hurt. Sorokin played well when he was in there and he is more than capable in these playoffs as the the Pens series showed.

The Jets will be in the house supporting the blue and orange.

Must win for your Islanders here tonight.

Imo. Can not let TB steal back home ice while on a 2 game winning streak.

    Let's go NY!

    Any Zach Wilson sightings tonight?!?!?

    Man. That is so awesome.

I really hope our Jets make the playoffs and these crazy Islanders (and Knicks players too) return the favor and pay homage during a Jets PLAYOFF game; I'd go nuts!

I have seen Matt Martin with his wife Sydney Esiason at Jets games and they were on the field. Sydney has obvious NFL connections thru her dad.

Jimmy Fallon and Ralph Macchio at the game together. Ralph and I were both at the Coliseum on May 24, 1980, but my seats were better than his (he has often said that he was in the last row, while my season tickets were about a dozen rows down from there).

Not much intensity from either the team or the crowd.

Islanders continue to not look great in their first home game of a series.

Now I kind of see why my older cousin back home in Queens who I always looked up to he always rooted for everything NY sports related.

He's 4 years older than me and I remember as a kid when my aunt and his dad divorced he'd go back and forth from Queens (my Aunt) and Mass (his dad).

He always told me lil cuzzo I'm in the heart of Boston fans and they have everything N.Y even our pizza lol I never forgotten those words.

    Knicks.
    Jets.
    Giants.
    Rangers.
    Islanders.
    Yankees.
    Mets.
NY Boxers (Tyson and Bowe he loved).

He just loved all these teams in his weird NY way.

I just called him been a while since we talked and asked him two questions. Why he never liked the Bills and is he rooting for Brooklyn? He just told me he hates Buffalo because he considers them Canadian rednecks ahhh and told me fk yeah Kevin Durant is THE MAN lol

I can't lie. Even as a kid who loved NYR playoff hockey with Mark Messier, Brian Leetch, Adam Graves and Mike Richter; it's been super fun rooting and cheering on your Islanders with Jets in attendance!

Be prepared TGG nation. I just invited my big cuz to TGG just texted him the link and lmk he'll join over the weekend with the username 'NY4Life' lol CAN'T WAIT!

If they don't start playing a lot better, they will have to be very lucky to win this game. They are being thoroughly outplayed.
