Against the Lightning we are going to need all the skill we can possibly put out there. If Wahlstrom is ready I would replace Leo and put him on the top line with Barzal and Eberle.

Bad play by Stamkos and great plays by Bailey and Barzal to make it 1-0.

6-on-4 PP goal on BS penalty with a minute left to make it 2-1 in favor of the good guys.

Just about a perfect game for a visiting team in Game 1 against the Stanley Cup champs. Looked like the Lightning agreed with me that they were definitely the better team, and didn't show any consistent intensity the entire game.

I don't see any team eliminating the Lightning.

But then I watched your Islanders.

    Go NY go NY Go!

Your Islanders are legit forreal and just stole home ice; TB is in trouble.

Extremely impressive game. Will be interesting to see how Tampa Bay adapts moving forward; it was always going to be interesting now that the four remaining teams are playing opponents they haven’t played this season.

That was great.... imposing their style of play on the defending champs!

Great game yesterday and its always nice to get game 1 when you start on the road. Have to expect a major push from TB tomorrow night. You know they are going to do everything possible to avoid coming to Nassau in an 0-2 hole.

It’s very funny to me how Barzal insists that he isn’t playing any differently now when it is blindingly obvious that he has been far more aggressive the past five games. I hope he’s just embarrassed to admit how small he came up in the first eight games of the playoffs, since it’s crucial that he keep playing like this, and not like that.

tonite could certainly be a buzzsaw in tampa.....to me it would be very impressive if it turns out to be a close game, regardless of a W or L.

I think the Isles can win this. I have it Isles in 6, but I would be very surprised if the Isles win tonight. I hope I am wrong about that, but you have to figure Tampa will come out and throw everything including the kitchen sink at the Isles. No way they want to go to Nassau down 2-0.

A couple of big saves by Varlamov on an early TB power play.

Islanders get a power play on a bad call - Pelech shoved Point into Varlamov. Sorokin now in.
