Absolutely brilliant third period so far for the boys, and then boom, give up the tying goal 31 seconds later. :(

I guess Palmieri was waiting for the playoffs to get started!

Isles are 4-0 under Trotz in playoff series in which they won Game 1, and 0-2 in series in which they lost Game 1. Let's keep that going here, boys.

Deserved win; as a fan it’s always great to see your team rebound from a situation that could be deflating but the Isles approached OT as if they had the momentum despite giving up the late tying goal.

Congrats boys. I see that like @Red Menace

Rammed that game right up my ass lol.

Tristan Jarry is a disaster in goal. He should've given up 5-6 in that game. He's always flailing around, falling down way out of the crease, etc.

I’ll take the win but I would like to see the home grown players start coming through with big goals in crunch time. Can’t leave it all to guys that are brought in.

That game greased the slippery slope into the drunk tank yesterday

Since they won game 1 I could see them making a very conservative decision with regards to Varlamov. I would go with Sorokin again tonight in game 2. He proved he is more than capable in getting the job done. It gives Varlamov some more days to make sure he is 100% healthy,

Yeah, the win in game 1 (and the fact that Sorokin is playing well) makes this an easy decision.

Easy decision that Trotz doesn't make, as Varlamov starts the game and lets up a soft goal.

Very bizarre decision not to start Sorokin. I thought he looked great especially considering one of those goals allows was that wild Crosby tap in.

Crappy period so far. Isles better get the next goal or it's probably over.

So far terrible decision to start Varlamov.

Dobson has not been good though, he has struggled winning battles in corner and that was a disastrous giveaway coupled by a terrible goal given up by SV.

If isles can keep game close they can score and eventually win this game, they just need to prevent the third goal.

Agree on Dobson; looked good to start the season then declined.

only positive is if you’re going to be down 2-0, it’s better with 40 minutes to play than 20 minutes I guess.

Beautiful goal by Bailey. Once again on the glove side of Jarry.
