BELLOWS X 2. 4-3 good guys now hold the lead. Good night on the scoreboard so far. Devils 5-0 over Flyers. Tampa 3-2 over Pitt and Vegas 6-2 over the Panthers
While it's never pretty with this team, they are currently on a (3-0-2) 5 game point streak. Longest one since that epic 15-0-2 run. Tough one tomorrow night at Tampa.
Tamba Bay just scored 2nd goal... the Isles had a good second period and now are just standing still... there they paid the price. Awful!
Team did not play a full 60 minutes and at times they were standing still even Butch noticed. Moral victories suck and one of these days we have to expect to beat the better teams and not be happy to just hang with them. Tough week coming up if the effort is not better the team and its weaknesses will be exposed
#8 is one goal short of 700 for his career. Caps lost last 7-2 last night so they will be in a bad mood. Tomorrow night Isles at Caps. I predict #8 gets 2 at minimum.
That guy is great and my son loves his game,,,,,,,and has 2 of his jerseys. we can only wish he played for our team
If they can manage to get a point tonight (Caps) and a win tomorrow (Flyers) then I will be thrilled. At minimum they need to find a way to get 2 points in these next two games. I would love for them to win both but realistically that isn't happening.
It's for the Tom Wilson factor. Johnston can drop the gloves if Wilson gets out of line. It makes no sense for a team with little offense to take out a player who can score to put in a goon. Besides if Wilson starts trouble then Matt Martin is more than capable of dropping the gloves as well.
Understood but IMO there are other players I would bench to get Johnston in the lineup hell I would bench baley but I just hate bailey------lastly IF IF IF Johnston does NOT go after Wilson from the git go or should I say at least 1 time in this game then the move is meaningless and as you said there are other players who can go after Wilson and yes Martin comes to mind---this move makes zero sense the kid is playing good on a team started for offense
