Greiss played bad today. But down 3-1 in the 2nd P and 3-2 late 3rd they manage to tie it and get it to OT for an important point. Outshot a good Canucks team 37-24 and played well except for Griess. Take the point and run.

They need to bring up Ho-Sang, Walhstrom, Koivula as well. One guy is not going to make a difference. As long as Bailey, Beauvillier, Brassard, Lee are the top line players Bellows is not going to make a difference. They need to do what the Leafs did under Babcock, bring up all the young players. Trotz system would help them maintain some stability until they develop chemistry. I know it sounds drastic but they will be passed in no time in the standings with this group of forwards. Penguins are streaking to first place, Blue Jackets, Hurricanes and Philadelphia are on their heels.
Blue Jackets have 65 points to the Isles 64. Isles do have 3 games in hand. The Flyers have 63 points but play Detroit tonight who is the worst team in hockey. A Flyers win gives them 65 points and the Isles would be WC 2.
The isle are trending down, that’s the problem at this time. They need more than Bellows to help them rebound.
Islanders finished last year strong enough to get in but IMO the goaltending is NOT as good this year so they are really being exposed. Trotz system can only take this cast of characters so far. I agree that I would bring EVERYONE up and lets see what we have but again I will believe it when I see it. I think Ho Sang could help but he would have been brought up months ago IMO they will never bring him up as I think they are done with him. Our top 6 is not very good and we have a bunch of bottom 6 players IMO far too many guys on this roster are NOT top line players. Trotz IMO has been a miracle worker with this group especially this first 15 games just imagine where they would be in the standings if not for the hot start. Team desperately needs the goaltending to get much better along with a 3rd line center and help for Barzal and the PP if that help does not arrive then we wont have to worry about playoff opponents , there wont be any playoffs. Still 30 games to go but I am not optimistic

Tomorrow night against a bad Kings team is a must win especially when you see what is coming up for the Isles. Saturday at Tampa, Monday at Washington, Tuesday a very important home game against the Flyers. Those are three tough games so the Isles need to get the two points Thursday in a game they should win.
The Kings are a terrible team, and are dominating us for the second time this season. Not sure what other depth we need to sink to before drastic changes are made.
3 - 1 now and although there is a lot of game eft I feel like it is over hope I am wrong but where will they find 3 goals to come back ? assuming the Kings do not score again
