One of the best parts about the win was the play of Wahlstrom. It's only one game but the kid played well and showed he has the offensive skills that the Isles badly need for their top 6.
I saw him last year with Bridgeport, he always stood out on the ice, he was very good in playoffs for Bridgeport as well, even though they lost in OT in first round he had best instincts on the ice. Glad he is getting a chance to play at the NHL level.
If we can get out of Dobson what Wahlstrom is giving us, we can trade a couple of guys like Bellows and Aho, who just don’t seem like they will be cracking the roster any time soon, for a proven player and Lou will end up looking like a genius.

I’m not surprised teams are coming out and playing hard against the Isles. They are a team that made the playoffs and swept the Penguins. Teams always elevate their game and try to knock off top teams. Isles are 2 good players from being a true top NHL team. This is good for the Isles, helps these young guys realize how much they really have to give to maintain that drive to get to the Stanley Cup. Glad Trotz is there to help this transition become a little smoother.
Probably one of the most overrated islanders ever to wear the jersey. Bright side is he will be gone sooner than later.
