    Also Isles went from worst to first. Hello Jennings trophy. Rangers now up 3-2 over Pitt. We may get the Canes who at last check were up 4-3 over the Flyers.

    Isles clinch 2nd place, win the Jennings Trophy for fewest goals given up. First home ice playoff series in 31 years.

    The Rangers are pathetic; not sure how they were even up 3-2.

    This is definitely the time to beat the Pens. They have been in a funk lately.

    Good win tonight. I know the Caps were not close to 100%, but the Isles strategy against them is still the same and could work should they meet Round 2. For now, the Caps have to focus on the Canes and the Isles the Pens, but I would love that potential Round 2 match-up instead of Caps-Pens for the 4th straight year.

    Missed the game,,,was checking the scores every once in a while and was getting texts.Good win and an excellent season for the good guys.Now the question is are we playing back to back Wed n Thur ? Bring on Cindy and his friends !

    Conventional wisdom would be to prefer the Hurricanes but I’m not sure that would apply this year.

    I think the Isles and their fans should be optimistic and have belief that they can beat the Pens, Caps or Canes in the first 2 rounds. They could lose to any of them too, but they definitely have a chance, unlike previous seasons. I'd much rather play the Canes than the Caps, but I am partial . :)
