No it didn't; the RB dropped the ball. If he holds on, he's still running with Adams in no men's land. He's the 8th man in the box so he's unaccounted for getting in the backfield is not an accomplishment.
Sam needs to continue with the fake drop back after the hand off. That's a coaching thing. He does fine with the initial step, but once that ball is handed off he has a tendency to stop the fake drop back and watch the play. It's a nitpick, but it will go a long way to freezing the LBs and Safeties on a run.
