    The line wasn't getting any better - why would it matter if if he came in in the 6th game? And if you haven't traded Bridgewater by then you lose him for absolutely nothing instead of getting a third round pick.

    Everything you're saying implies starting McCown, not Bridgewater. You only play Bridgewater if you want to win more games, and that should never be the plan this year other than if Darnold is doing it.
