Yeah, and my idiot phone autocorrected to make and not made. You can't make it up. Hahaha. See post #75. F my life. Wait, is it going to change it to loaf? Laugh? Rife? Definitely rife. Apologies in advance to all of my Chinese friends.
Say what you want about Shaun Ellis (who later became a Cheat, I can feel the chunks rising), he had a great game. Steve Somers next day broadcast was one for the ages after that game. Haha, who remembers the win against the Bills when someone photoshopped Ellis with a bong in his hand instead of the ball going over the goal line? He had been suspended for smoking pot prior to that. Good times.
The dialogue: "I know a good barber shop. Get a haircut." "No." "C'mon dude, get a haircut." "No." Awkwardness and I have to take a crap looks ensue.
The first photo looks like he wants to eat somebody for lunch. They used to feature him on the Jumbotron in The Old Dump saying 'get loud' and then he would fold his arms across his chest. I really liked Pouha. Too bad he got injured that time. He has a really tight-knit family, nice feel good stuff. Thanks for the post.
Pouha was a great find. Late bloomer who had a solid career and was tough as nails. It really is true that Samoans are absolutely unbreakable (look up Meng/Haku from the WWF)
Curious about Byrd on something. When he was killed in that auto-accident - I can't remember which retired Jets player it was now - implored his wife to have his brain examined for CTE. Was it Lyons? It may have been. Yes, I think it was. Never heard anything about it after his funeral, so I'm guessing his wife didn't do it. You know your loved one is dead and all, but some people just see things like that as disrespectful butchery. I'm sure Dennis Byrd had it, based on things that I've read about his behavior the last few years of his life. I'll never forget that game when he was injured. Our seats in The Old Dump were so close and so good we heard the sickening helmet crack noise - and possibly something else. First time I wished we had seats in the 300s. The drive home was pretty bad. RIP, Dennis.
Samoans are crazy strong. They're like the Pacific Islander version of Sumo wrestlers, but they also make canoes and can freaking row around the world. With one hand. Vikings and Samoans in a rowing race, over/under?
