Jonah Williams, I dunno . . . Also looks like he just crapped his pants. Bryce Love, very handsome young man . . . . . . but I don't think our track record is too good with a guy named Bryce, although Bryce Love is a cool football name. Benny Snell, a GREAT football name. I mean, look at that last name, period. So yeah, I'm going with Benny Snell. That's my draft analysis. And I'm probably more right than any war room.
Depending upon FA, players I'd love to see the Jets choose from in the 2nd/3rd rounds are (if they wind up ranked in the 2nd-3rd round range): WR Kelvin Harmon Hakim Butler Emmanuel Butler Deebo Samuel Mercole Hardman RB David Montgomery Benny Snell (might induce his uncle Matt to forgive the Jets) C Elgton Jenkins Garrett Bradbury Erik McCoy OT Greg Little Tytus Howard Yodney Cajuste OG Chris Lindstrom Michael Jordan?
Take this FWIW Not gonna say who or how I know this...but based on extremely reliable first hand info the Jets need to stay far away from Bryce Love before at least the 6th round. He has a history of a bad ankle that is only gonna get worse. He has a good burst but w.o the change of direction due to his ankle he could be reduced to a straight line runner which will not work if he can even stay on the field On the plus side JJ Arcega Whiteside is the real deal & an absolute freak.
I was about to ask you about Arcega-Whiteside. Think he can become a #1 WR? I watched a few videos yesterday and he looked impressive, but they were highlights.
He has that type of ability but it's hard to say. Like the rest of the WR's in this class....or really any year since 2015 or so...he's only run a handful of routes as college ball continues to keep player's roles specialized. I havent watched him in a long while but if I remember he's alittle more of a boundary/straight line guy than so short area/pivot routes but we shall see.
I am probably one of the few here that want the Jets to trade down to get 2-3 extra picks. I like Bosa a lot and would not be disappointed if we pick him however imo the Jets have some holes and lack depth. OL and CBs are not that deep in draft but with extra picks we can land an edge, OL/C, RB, CB, and WR in the first 3 rounds providing that we get the right picks for our #3. The names that some mentioned are enticing and improving depth at all positions would benefit the Jets play in the long run.
yeah, probably. He was kinda of overrated in college. He played in the PAC 12 where everyone chucks it all over the field. Stanford is the only team to load up on maulers and run the football. And run it they did, padding his stats. How does a guy like him get almost 300 carries in 14 games and yet only catch 6 passes all year? it defies logic.
Hes a baller.Maybe not a home run threat but really tough between the tackles & making the first man miss. He’d make a great compliment to Bell/Mcguire/Cannon
Before we signed Bell, I was all for Snell or another RB in round 3. Now, I feel that we need to grab a WR who can become a #1 before we worry about RB.
100% agree. The WR Class is stronger than RB & it's a bigger need. We need a rebounder on the outside who can take advantage of Sam going off script.
