When its true patriotism, no problem. When it becomes a litmus test? problem. Same thing with the hundred flag backdrop at both conventions. A flag pin doesn't make you anymore patriotic than a bumper sticker or a shoulder patch. Its simply something that's become a required accessory for politicians to wear in public.
Or Trump or Cruz or any of them not just Hillary.. ANY Politician wearing a flag lapel is doing it for the optics. True patriots don't have to run around waving flags, wearing lapels or any of that other yankee doodle dandy stuff. You can show patriotism in other more concrete ways like.. volunteering at a VA hospital, food banks for homeless vets, supporting veteran causes. You know, concrete stuff that actually makes a difference in our lives. Flag Lapels really don't mean shit in the big picture.
I wouldn't go that far but for all of them a Clinton win is a much better outcome than a Trump one. It will be business as usual again, rinse and repeat. It's all good as long as they have their cushy DC jobs and are getting money from all kinds of lobbying groups.
He did beat her whether you want to admit it or not I wouldn't say that he made "everyone" forget about the tape because MSM will keep bringing it up again and again but he did beat her. There was no victory dance from her this time around, as she did in the first debate. And every time she put that artificial smile of hers on, most of us knew what that meant.

See i don't see all politicians like that. I think some, though there ideas are off base, truly want whats best for this country. Bernie, and i wouldn't have votedfor him, really wanta whats best for the country. Donald to an extent the same ,although i believe some sort of egomaniacal hoping to be the next face on Rushmore goal is involved too. Hilary though is in it for herself and herself only and the optics just reinforce that. Amd you can't always do the concrete stuff you mentioned but it takes very little effort to make a small display of your loyalty. Although i am guessing she did by forgoing the lapel pin. Its the little things in life C, you know that.
Blah blah blah... maybe instead of bitching about the Russian "war crimes" Obama should pressure his buddies in Qatar to stop funding terrorists of the FSA and the al-Tawhid Brigade? There would be no thousands of dead civilians then. But we gotta remove Assad no matter what and the term "war crimes" always applies only to the other side
I thought she sucked and he re-established himself with his base. He didn't win over any independents or Dems. He's going to be stuck at around 40%. Also his comment on Buffet turned out to be a dumb move since Buffet released his returns while under audit and paid lots of money in taxes despite giving 3 Billion to charity. Trump is a little to lose with his BS and this isn't going away with any credible independents. Hillary is going to win lots of red states as main stream Republicans don't vote at all for President. Personally I hate her and loved the idea of divided government again. Sadly Trump may cause a Democratic sweep. Trump is going to lose big. The question is does he take the Senate and House with him? I'm hopeful there will be some opposition to Hillary's tax plan but I'm now thinking democratic sweep.
He would have some cred if Trump didn't actually have a twitter account. You could argue that Donald Trump is part of a conspiracy to take down Trump.
Are you saying there's not? He even had to debate one of the moderators for God's sake. It was clear from the start that both of them were against Trump, and then Raddatz finally lost it when she started debating him on one of his military statements - so professional of her. Then, all MSM decided not to do their own polls after the debate and just quoted CNN's "scientific" poll that showed Clinton winning the debate, while pretty much every sane person would agree that Trump had her on the defensive all evening and she was awful. Clinton never had one tough question (there's more than plenty to ask her about) in both debates, while Trump got bombarded again and again. Matt Lauer did pressure her in the town hall before the first debate, prompting liberals to start crying that he was so unfair to her. I guess then the moderators got the memo not to ever ask her anything that might throw her off balance.
https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/4518 Just a thought … in the Miami speech, the diverse crowd behind HRC holding the little American flags was very cool – and at one point, a small U-S-A chant broke out … Maybe something like this is already in works, but wonder if tomorrow night, we should be more purposeful about generating the U-S-A, U-S-A chants during her riff about the need for togetherness and unity as always, everything is scripted in her world
