It wasn't just the bowing, it was the entire tour of apologizing for everything the U.S. has done, is doing or will do in the future that was really nauseating and made us look like a country full of pussies.
Unfortunately now and for the past half a century at least, the cost of freedom is dying so that politicians can get paid by special interest groups, no matter what party is in power. And as bad as it would have been if Hillary had won, it's just as bad now, since the Pres-elect is a businessman that's spent his entire life making shady business deals. It's not going to end until this government is toppled, and probably not even after that.
It'll end for a little bit but human nature is human nature. If you can be greedy and there's a 100% chance you'll get away with it cause you make all the rules, why the hell wouldn't you?
The Iran nuke deal lost me with Obama. Just a terrible deal with terrible people. The apology tour was another disgrace that probably filled some coffers. America shouldn't have to apologize for paying the price of freedom. Trump will never win over a slew of people and especially the media will always be his enemy. I get why people don't like him, he certainly has not made it easy to like him. Trump is about the exact opposite of Obama in terms of professionalism; thin skinned and reactionary. Until the election Obama let criticism roll off his shoulder. Now Obama has been having some tantrums himself in the waning days of his presidency. Obama doesn't leave much of a legacy from his 8 years in office. Obama basically took the Bush mess, printed a shit ton of money and doubled down on the mess. Trump is approaching the Bush-Obama mess from and approach that our media and liberals in general have decided to abhor. An alliance with Russia. Look, I even think Russians are enemies to the United States; a terrible country to call your ally. But, if Trump wants to defeat china in this trade war, he will have to utilize a Russian alliance. I don't think trump is as susceptible to special interest groups as Hil$$$ary. I really don't understand what Obamas motives with Iran and groups like Syrian rebels or especially Hamas stem from. But it is clear Obama went lengths to try to help those people. I don't think trump with follow that suit. Trump will call a spade a spade, but his entanglement with Russia will certainly be looked at with shame. The question is how can trump defeat china in a trade war without Russian support? This cannot be ignored any longer. China owns too much of our debt. One thing I do respect from Obama is his strengthening relationship with Japan. I think Japan is going to be an important ally moving forward. The same with repairing the Philippine alliance (detore seems like a nut though ... nut to nut hopefully they will be good together). Taiwan was an interesting approach as well. The pressure needs to be applied to China for another American golden age. I hope trump can focus on the big picture and not get too distracted with building a fairly pointless wall. Although, you live in Texas as you have stated and I'm sure you have felt the issues surrounding our southern boarder. Trump certainly has a lot of shit on his plate and many obstacles in his way, the media being one of the biggest. 4 years is probably not enough time to fix all of the issues, especially when you have to start campaigning again in 3 years. Instead of declaring trump a disaster from the jump off. I want to at least give the man a chance to take office and see what he can do with a republican congress. The Iran deal needs to get squashed fast. And to me it's not a bad idea supporting Russia to end this Syrian bloodshed. There is very little stability in the Middle East. We don't need to pump anymore weapons or money into that arena. Pull out of that shithole now. Stop funding and supporting foreign wars. There's just so many fires to put out. Bush and Obama did poor jobs in the global arena. I also expect trump will get big into the oil and energy business. USA is energy rich, which could become our biggest export very soon, if not already. Liberals are going to hate that. And I will hate reading about oil spills that are bound to happen. This is how our government could be toppled. If we destroy an already scarce, finite resource in water. Thirst drives man mad. This is just scratching the surface, but I'm going to stop writing now.
Just adding while I respect Obama for strengthening our alliance with Japan. We owe Japan no apology for dropping the atom bombs in WWII. The loss of American lives would have been too heavy a price to pay. Americans paid the price, if in no other place, especially in the pacific theater during WWII
