If you are in the late night business, SNL or Alec Baldwin, or anything comedy related...its going to be a fantastic 4 years for content
Eh. Plenty of handwringing in the satire community. He's already the SNL/Onion version of himself. Where do you take it?
Regardless of your opinion on the election (although I lean towards Trump heavily), you have to respect the absolute fucking brilliancy of his marketing campaign. While he was saying outlandish things about illegal immigrants and such, I'm sure he had advisors saying hey uh Donald, maybe we should cool it with that stuff. Then he comes back and says we need to get those bad hombre's. He gained the support through being the same way throughout the entire election. He would've lost if he switched gears and he said I'm not doing that. As many said, the white woman not voting for a white female candidate is absolutely crazy. But also said in that instance is that women hate fake women and Hilary's character was shown to the world when regardless of her experience and accolades that would lead one to believe she was qualified, it appeared as though she was lying through her friggain teeth every time she spoke. Also. This is a female population that bought an estimated what 70 million copies of a book based solely on a woman's addiction to masochism? (50 Shades of Grey). They'll all absolutely nuts. It's nice to have Republican blood pulsing through the entire government. Regardless if you're a democrat (hopefully you're not though) or a republican, a unified government at least has a god damn chance to accomplish something. When it's a different party President from Congress it's like a giant waste of 4 years in a stalemate.
You know what is better than the marriages? It's the divorces!!!! Love em, absolutely love them. Great entertainment.
I find it ridiculous that women have to vote for a woman candidate. Are they not allowed to judge her on her merits (or lack thereof)? Calling people bigots because they wouldn't vote for a woman is utterly insane. This country (while not all of it) has moved past all of that. We'll have a woman president at some point, we just need one that is qualified.
Considering Hillary helped contribute to the current cluster fuck in Syria perhaps it should have been her and her shitty experience that worried you more.
It's obvious that we're not past that though. A record amount of minorities came out to vote for Obama in both elections because he was black, and regardless of his policies. White women or at least the feminist population feel as thought they are unjustly oppressed (don't ask me why). One would think that these women whom feel oppressed would be unable to vote for a 'pig that uttered the phrase grab them by the pussy.' Yet they did. Shows you how much they hate Hilary.

I feel just the opposite-- I sleep best knowing Washington D.C. can't do a damn thing. If I had my way, the House would always be "R", the Senate would always be "D", and the White House would flip every 4 years. They can spring to action when something worth agreeing on comes along, and otherwise keep circle-jerking and be completely ignored by the rest of us. What you see as a "Stalemate" I see as Washington staying the hell out of all the things it has no business being in.
At the same time you must shake your head at the response of the other side more interested in talking about pussy grabbing than shining the light of day on the ridiculous unworkable and impossible claims Trump made. You can't make this shit up - but he did and it bought him tens of millions of votes. Now Mexico has to figure out how to get the money to pay for that freakin' wall. But what makes you think there will be any kind of unified government with Trump at the helm? When has he ever demonstrated a willingness or desire to be a stereotypical Republican? Don't you think there might be some payback due for his treatment by the Grand Old Party the past year?
I just got into a huge fight about this with a friend. He went on a huge rather aggressive rant about how everyone is racist and sexist for voting Trump. When i confronted him with the idea that maybe people were suffering and voted in their own best interest out of necessity and feel horrible about their decision he would not back down and got even more demeaning. When i brought up the coal industry in W.V. he went on about it being bad for the environment and needs to end, i 100% agreed. When i followed up with "now we have agreed to end coal, what industry are you bringing in as a replacement so the families that have depended on it can still feed their kids?" he had no answer. i continued to push him and he had nothing and tried to deflect to what a terrible person trump is. There are millions of "white women" in the U.S. today that feel sick because they had to vote for a horrible person who in turn is going to allow them to feed their families and instead of discourse and empathy articles like this bullshit just degrade them. Maybe instead of reaming people out we should speak with them and help them so next time they aren't put in such a difficult position.
