IF Fitz returns it's on a one-year deal now. And unless they really think Petty's a total bust after one year it'll be him or Geno going bye-bye.
the Jets are going to draft a qb every yr till they find the man. I said it last night in a post here tonight they would take him. Next is oline then maybe oline again in the 6th
Don Banks @DonBanks 8m8 minutes ago This isn't bad news for Ryan Fitzpatrick as much as it is for Geno Smith IMO. Fitzy, Petty and Hackenberg would be my guess at depth chart
Yikes. Not happy. I've watched a lot of Hackenberg. Have never been impressed. Seems like a very mediocre player to me. Hope I'm wrong.
Hey I liked him and thought the sixers should have went after him Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
I understand form what I read (never saw him play in a game) that he had a good freshman year. I assume he was accurate. Maybe the Jets can see why he is not accurate now and think it is fixable. They are taking a big chance here. I do not think they are stupid. time will tell.
Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 5m5 minutes ago If I am the Jets I'm telling Fitz 2 years at $16M with $10M guaranteed or I'm calling Hoyer or whomever to Band-Aid my QB situation
I cant see this if they didn't want to pay Fitzpatrick. If they do, then i saybtheybhave no idea what theyre doing. Fitzpatrick does not need to start here ever again. Id rather they start Petty. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
There's good news out of this. THey're screwed unless they pick in the top next year and land Watson.
Petty?? He's not ready, Fitz will be back, he's not going to pass up 10mill.........the market has dried up.
We are finally making a very strong effort to find an actual franchise QB and people still wanot to act like tards and play the sky is falling game. This was a good move, especially if they really were that intrigued by him throughout the previous draft process. I'm excited to see how it all plays out and I hope we finally land our QB of the future. Petty or Hack, I don't car which one, as long as one of them become franchise qb material. Bonus would be to develop both and have a trading chip for future drafts.
I don't know why, but something about this pick screams knee-jerk reaction to everyone last night and today ripping the Jets for not taking Lynch in the first round.
Whos said hes getting 10? It might be 10 total in incentives but he doesnt need that much, he hasnt earned it. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
