So you weren't a fan until your 20's? You're a bandwagon fan. He's been a Tar Heel fan since he was 9. And that other thing he can't tell you about but it involves Dean Smith, his mom, a bottle of tequila, a really decrepit condom and a motel 6 back in 1956. _
I just recently joined there. I have only seen a little bit of his absurdity but its the same old schtick he used here. there was a time when he was a respected poster around here and I was the asshole who was always arguing with him. it took a long time for the majority of the board to realize what a tool he was.
This is a women's basketball story so maybe it doesnt belong in here but what the hell why not. 25 year old Louisiana Tech Head Coach Tyler Summitt was forced to resign today after he accidentally knocked up one of his players. I hate when that happens!!! http://espn.go.com/womens-college-b...er-summitt-resigns-louisiana-tech-women-coach The major media outlets are refusing to speculate on the player but the team has a cute blonde that he used to coach at Marquette and transferred to La Tech with him because their relationship was said to be pretty "close". ESPN will give us unnecessary pictures of JPP's medical chart and Bruce Jenner's new dress but not of the bubbly blonde PG that is rumored to have taken it to the hole
http://www.latechbbb.com/ He went out with a losing record. . I guess if you can't coach 'em, fuck 'em..
college basketball was so different back then. maybe its because I was young and wet behind the ears but it was EVERYTHING in the big east. it was epic battles all year long. I was a big Georgetown fan when I was a kid but also liked to watch st johns, Syracuse and even poor UConn. you could go into any game and choose one over the other. I didn't like Syracuse because they were too cool to learn how to shoot free throws. stokes I hope you see willie glass in your nightmares tonight!!! ill agree with junc on this though, I see no reason to need to have attended a school to be a fan of their sports programs. I am a huge notre dame football fan. my favorite team of all teams and I would watch them over the jets every single week if I had to. I drove by the place a few years ago but have never even stepped on campus.
Being a st johns alum I hope they bring back basketball to this city. One of the reasons why I went to SJU. Don't think I ever shared this story, but I went to a St John's vs Syracuse game back at MSG in Feb 2009 I think...Really bad snow that day, I got the chance to go on the court in 2nd half and make some shots to win some $400 watch. I made 2 layups, free throw, and the 3 pointer swished at the buzzer on the Cuse end all within 30 seconds. It was 18,000 packed that day. Everyone cheered for me, even got tons of love from the Cuse fans it was mostly them there. I was in the student section and I have to say that watch is my trophy moment ...point is I have a soft spot for Syracuse after that
I know I can google it but where the heck is Villanova university? What state I mean... Never heard of it.
