I don't know shit tbh but knew there was gonna be a huge upset somewhere this year. I picked Hampton so I could give my UVA friends shit. And I picked Hawaii. I don't think anybody at all picked Mid Ten tho. Now everyone's bracket is fokked!
Bracket league Im in has 21 entries and 17 had the Spartans getting to atleast the final four. Only 1 had them not getting to the Elite 8. Safe to say there are no perfect brackets left in the world..I wont believe any stories that tell me otherwise.
Nasty upset and will be up there in the top 5 for sure. I found an article that lists the biggest upsets pointsread wise. http://espn.go.com/chalk/story/_/id/14991087/the-10-biggest-ncaa-tournament-upsets-20-seasons This one would be #3 or #4 because MSU were -16.5 to -17 favorites depending on the book.
Busted! They were my winner and a full third of the winners in the bracket pool I'm in. Looks like Michigan state was a tad too spartan with their defensive efficiency.
same every year In the history of brackets, maybe one year were there even perfect brackets left after the first round the best in the round by round sites is usually like 30 correct out of 32
I was trying to look before how much someone would win if they bet Mid TN straight up but all the lines changed. They had to be +2000 or something before tip.
I remember seeing a news story a few years back about some sports company that has a program that generates millions of brackets with each possible outcome accounted for. But unless its like that then its just not possible.
Just got an update on my phone.. there is one bracket that remains perfect in the Capital One Bracket Challenge
I think two years ago there was a guy perfect all the way up until the Sweet 16. I remember trying to parlay all the games in that round incase the guy did it again and moved onto the elite 8 perfect
Crazy if true. For someone to even accidentally just pick Little Rock , Yale and Mid TN , the odds would be astronomical. Nevermind pick them and every other team correctly.
I had Yale and Hawaii in my bracket. Other kid who is in first in mine had Yale Hawaii and Little Rock.
Yep I just checked and it was +2000 exactly, nice guess. Very much a rip off though. For instance the SBR calculator actually can't calculate past 12 point favorites, but a 12 point dog is worth +2784, and this was a 17 point dog. Also MSU was a whopping -7000. That's also a ripoff
Yeah I had Hawaii in mine too. Didnt trust Cal after their leading scorer got hurt. I can also see how people could pick Yale if they saw them play before. Their PG is really good. I think Duke could be on upset alert with them.
here's what 5 Dimes had Time Middle Tennessee St Michigan State 03/18/16 09:11:25am +2900 -4300 spread closed at 16.5
Cal didn't announce him out for the tournament until after brackets locked. 03/17/16 10:19:24am Pacific College Basketball: Game 843-844 (ORN# 843-844) Injury Status Games PTS REB AST STL BLK California G Tyrone Wallace hand OUT 26 15.2 5.4 4.3 1.0 0.4 is out for the season. I wouldn't have picked them either had they announced he was out for the tournament a couple of hours earlier. Instead, I lost a S16 team.
I heard the morning it happened that it could've been pretty bad. Even if he was out for that 1 game it would've been a struggle for em.
