Biggest game of the year for Memphis, conference and bowl games on the line. How does Paxton respond? Houston leads the nation in takeaways, can he protect the ball? Strength of schedule has been a knock on him, well here we go.

Been watching a lot of tape of Wentz. I think he's becoming my favorite 2015 QB prospect.

If Gunner Kiel stayed healthy this year, I wonder what his draft prospects would've been? I know, he's a whiny little kid back when he was with ND, but apparently he has changed his ways.

2 concussions and all sorts of injuries this year. At the end of the day, I know Mac will go BPA, but I don't see a QB on the level of a Winston / Mariota / Bridgewater / Carr. Not even close.

Would you rather Kiel return for another to build a less skeptical season?

He prob needs another year to solidify his draft status and prove to scouts he can stay healthy. If I were him, I would return to school.

Dunno…Wentz looks like he can be close to the Bridgewater/Carr level. I'd add Tannehill to that comparison list too since he and Wentz have that WR to QB conversion thing in common. I'm really interested to see how he performs during the Senior Bowl week playing along side and against better comp.

Wow, Carson Wentz. This kid's fucking good. I'm gonna move him over Lynch and Goff for the #1 spot. FCS QBs usually fall, can we get him in the mid 20s in the Bridgewater/Carr range?

I saw the Houston-Memphis game and was actually more impressed with Houston's backup QB than I was Lynch. I know part of the game plan was that for some reason Memphis was running the ball a lot and being more conservative.

What happened? I remember reading a post from you about a month ago saying you weren't impressed.

Spent more time on him. The first 2 games I watched from him were sloppy, lots of broken play scrambles and missed throws. I thought he was one of those guys who relied on pure athleticism to move the ball, which was especially troubling for me considering he does it against FCS caliber athletes. I saw people projecting him in the first so I committed a little more time on him and I came away incredibly impressed.

He's got prototype size and a cannon for an arm, he's smart, accurate and throws with good touch when he needs to. He's probably the best thrower on the run of any guy I've watched in this class. He maneuvers the pocket very subtly and stands tall, he almost reminds me of Brady when I see his back foot hit at the top of the drop and he bounces up into throwing posture.

Then I watched his playoff run from last year and saw him carry his team through multiple game winning 4th quarter drives with clutch throw after clutch throw while their season was on the line. He can ball. I'm gonna put him #1 with Goff 2 and Lynch 3; those are the 3 guys I'd consider on Day 1. I like the system he's coming from too; tons of snaps from center and play action passes (he's got a great ball fake, which also looks like Brady's) as well as some progression style reads. I'm eager to see him at the Senior Bowl compared to the FBS level players, I saw that he just accepted his invite.

Hopefully, the GMs in the league fail to do what you did and write him off so he's there for the taking. Part of me would rather he miss the Senior Bowl and gets forgotten about. I have a feeling that he will open a lot of eyes that week which might not bode well for us.

He's got a bunch of narratives for a fall into the teens or 20s at least. I think a lot of GMs are nervous to pick an FCS quarterback at the top of the first round (Flacco went 18th overall) so that could slip him down to where we're picking. He's also coming off the broken wrist and for whatever reason players who suffer short term freak injuries always seem to take a slide in the draft. Wanna know the best way to regret a draft pick? Pass up on 12 years of a good player because of an injury that kept them out a couple months. I think both Goff and Lynch will go before him because there's less concern (FCS competition, injury) which could leave us with the option of taking him.

Watch the back to back throws starting at 0:12 ( + game winning throw at 9:29)

"Hi, I'm Carson Wentz and you're going to be hearing my name a lot starting in March"

Wentz comes from a prostyle system, but he's talking the first read . Have t watch more of him in December or so, but I doubt an FCS goes in round one in this draft class.

Wentz also has close to 4.0 GPA if you are into that sort of thing when it comes to your QB.

Thanks for posting this. Based on this one view, I like him more than I do most of the other QBs I've seen, but I want to see and read more about him.

I really like his arm, although he is a little wild high, which is dangerous. I don't like seeing him run, but with the OL he has, he probably has to run to stay alive. He's not that big or fast, however. I'd hate to see him get injured, and think he'd probably get killed in the NFL he tried to run as much as he did in this clip. Does it bother you that when he's escaping pressure, he retreats 10-15 yards like Geno does? He did that several times.

Still, he does look like an intriguing prospect. I definitely want to see more of him.

Fun Wentz fact: Wentz played 2 years with our very own Marcus Williams. Wentz said of Marcus Williams that he was the toughest player he's ever played against. So at least we know he's faced at least one NFL caliber CB even though it was just practice.
