The only players on that list that are likely to hit free agency are Wayne and Welker.

Odds are very good the Jets won't sign a free agent WR next year. Drafting another guy is fairly likely but signing somebody is not. The reason is that free agent WR's are rarely available at a cost-effective rate.

agree, kerley will probably get a decent contract and that will max out the wr budget. if there is still a need we will probably see a high draft pick or a few mid-late picks brought in to compete

Really? DRC wasn't worth the money Giants gave him? Cro wasn't worth 3 mil?

DRC, no. Cro, yes but you are talking apples and oranges. Elite receiver in his prime is different than CB coming off an injury-plagued bad season approaching the wrong side of 30.

Would be sweet to bring in DT. But as posted a hundred times Denver aint letting him go. But then again they will be in cap hell sooner than later

They'll let Cobb or Jordy walk. They just got Adams, Abbrederis and Janis.

I disagree with you on DRC. I guess the CB he did bring in was healthy all last season?

We might see Izzy's team building methodology morph over time. He inherited a team void of talent with 1000 needs and 100 over priced, aged vets. Thus his BPA early and team needs late with as many draft pics he can muster.

Eventually the team will get to where he wants it to be.

And at that point you might see a different Izzy when it comes to FA vs the Draft.

The Packers have a choice: they can let guys like Cobb walk or they can take on an incrementing cap problem that will leave them in dire straits over the last part of Aaron Rodgers career. I think you're right, they'll probably let him walk. If they have a bad year this year then maybe not. Immediate survival issues make even good GM's do bad things.

Some of you guys are so f'n clueless.

Cobb isn't as good as Kerley?! LOL

Besides Rodgers, Cobb is the best player on offense. He is the perfect return choice, but he doesn't do it anymore because of how highly they value him on offense.

GB is going to let Cobb walk? HAHA Whatever...anyone care to ask someone from Wisconsin? They will never let that happen. They drafted 3 WR because Cobb, and Jordy both got hurt last year, and they needed depth behind them. Plus James Jones was finally let go, which has been speculated since the end of his last contract when we all expected him to walk. He re-signed, and now this time up they let him go. Adams was drafted in the 2nd to replace Jones. Then the next 2 WR picks were in the 6th, and 7th rounds. They are depth signings.

Yep, as great as it would be I tend to agree that he won't land here.

GB has $120M already committed to 2015 with Nelson and Cobb not covered by the number. Tramon Williams and B.J. Raji aren't covered either. Bryan Bulaga is not covered.

They're going to have to let somebody go and odds are good it will be one of the receivers and maybe the CB. They're headed into an old-fashioned cap hell where they have to let good players go.

Aaron Rodgers cash compensation for 2015 is $11.1M including a $10.1M roster bonus. He has huge salary figures already for 2016 forward. They can get some relief there but it's going to be a tricky maneuver. Can't just ask him to roll the roster bonus over to 2016 and his cap numbers are over $19M already moving forward from that point.

I see you did some research. Let me make it easier. Raji is good as gone, bulaga isn't that great, tramon is very good, but gb actually has been developing up fine cb depth. I can see Boykin being let go, but no way Cobb, and unlikely Jordy.

I thought the Jets wanted DRC, but the Giatns signed him first.

And yes, Patterson was not healthy and is a year older than Cro.

Unless one of those WR's want to convert to CB, we will not give any of them a serious look.

Unless one of the WR's we drafted turns out to be something. Then we should look at a few of them seriously.
