Isn't it quite ironic that Curry's wife will complain about the NBA being rigged for money but has no problem cashing those NBA checks so her ass can live in style

Of course it's mean, but that's part of social media. mom clearly wants social media attention but be careful what you wish for when you put your child out there because you don't get to dictate what type of attention you will get. That doesn't absolve people for being assholes, but they can't be assholes about your kids if you don't make your children public figures with your own actions to begin with.

Or perhaps I'm wrong and they are both victim of the media putting the camera on them during moments that it should be on the players and not their families. Except Steph is the one that does post games with her on his lap. 20 years ago when the general public did not have a mass media voice say didn't have to hear what every scumbag thought about you doing so. But you have to conduct yourself based on the times you live. Steph has to choose whether he wants to open his child to such behavior or shield her from it?

If Lebron and the Cavs pull this off on Sunday, it will be huge for Lebron's legacy. Not only would it give him a 3rd ring (which he deserves), but he will have demonstrated coming back from a 3-1 deficit against the best team (based on record) in NBA history. On the other hand, it will be extremely disappointing looking at it from the Warriors perspective if they lose after the season they had. I'm leaning to root for the Cavs here, but all I really want is a close game to the wire.

Lebron goes for 41 points back to back to come back from a 3-1 deficit. ... In game 7 he will put up 36 points, have nearly a triple double, Irving will miss the game tying shot in the final seconds giving the Warriors the title but everyone will call LeBron a choke artist after the game because he didn't "want" the final shot. just watch. He's got some Peyton Manning syndrome.

Win or lose, Lebron should be finals MVP.

It's unfortunate that people use championships as the only barometer for greatness.

It's the hardest accomplishment for a team to do, let alone one great player.

While I'm rooting for the Cavs, I just want to see a close game. The lack of suspense has made these games unbearable to watch.

When the NBA sponsor a children's clothing line using Stephs daughter as the face of the line, then I would agree that they are putting her out there to be seen as a celebrity.

Having your child on your lap during post game interviews for a game is only that. He really is not doing anything important.

    Just my opinion.

I still think Marino is the greatest QB ever but because he never won a SB its sacrilege to even mention him up there.

I'm not so sure. These guys know how brutal social media can be, why put your kid out there as a potential target.

Quite frankly I find it incredibly annoying when these guys trot their kids out there at press conferences. Ends of championship games, taking them on the court or field is fine for the celebration, but the press conferences?

Hard to believe a team that won 73 games in a season could end it by losing three games in a row. The Warriors should have the edge Game 7, however I felt that way for Game 5 and Game 6 too.

What would really be the difference between deliberately putting her in a commercial that is viewed by a mass audience and having her join you in a press conference that will be viewed by a mass audience, other than one is scripted and produced and the other ad lib? Both result in the same -- public exposure and eliminating the line between private family member and public figure.

Not that it needed to be proven, but this series is definitely proof that early (bullshit) calls can affect the player instincts and team philosophy of even the most successful and consistent teams in the league.

I almost hope the Cavs win just to see the backlash.

The funny part is, the league basically threw the refs under the bus with their ad hoc final 2 minute reports. That was right out of Silver's ass.

If the fix is really in, it's hard to believe a ref or 3 won't go off record with some juicy details at this point.

It'd be a monumental achievement for Cleveland to win, even though they had a bye to the Finals and have gotten some very fortunate breaks in the Finals.

It's pretty tough to win a championship without a coach.

Last year gsw got the breaks playing cavs , love had a stuffed shoulder courtesy of olynk in first round of playoffs , irving did his knee early in final series. James played a lone hand offensively , delly who? came from nowhere to help him score a few points , snuff out curry for a few games but he ran out of steam playing 35 mins a game rather than 7 mins per game often in junk time.
This year green missed a vital game and bogut did his knee 2 games a go. The lack of bogut and his early defensive rebounds and blocks gave thompson easy rebounds .
Good fortunate staying healthy at the pointy end of a season and your opponents misfortune often tilts the final result

You and Blue make some good points, maybe I just don't care enough about sports that I would attack them or their family because of it.

But in today's world, as blue mentioned earlier, social media has given the public too many avenues for people to attack athletes and their families and they should do a better job of keeping their families protected.

Your right, like I said to Stokes, you made an excellent point about the many avenues that social media has given for the general public to attack players and their families.

They should do a better job of keeping their families protected.

The NBA tries to avoid such situations at all costs due to all of the built in appearances and marketing deals associated with the award. Advertisers don't want to feature someone whom lost the Finals, and I doubt that player wants to be celebrated when his team lost.

I agree though. He should've won it last year, and after pushing this to 7 games they really have no excuse not to give it to him. It helps his legacy immensely with the award attached to this series even if they lose, and truly dulls the potential 2-5 finals record.

Well said. Another thing to envy about a lot of the other NBA Superstars including LeBron. I couldn't tell you his wives or kids names outside of probably a LeBron Jr. Curry's wife has to be one of the most high profile sports wives in a long time that had no claim to fame before her husband became a star.

It can be sort of an irrelevant comparison, but it makes you really appreciate someone like Derek Jeter. Granted he comes from the era right before social media (even though social media was very much alive during the second half of his career). Never saw any of the drama associated with some athletes today. The shit attitude press conferences from Cam Newton after losses, the horseshit Curry's wife puts out on social media, the criticism every NBA star has on referees after a loss, etc. The only thing most people know about him was who he was on the field.

It's like junc's mom complaining about fouls against the Tar Heels neglecting the fact they don't have to go to class.
