The 6ers going with that ol' 3 power forwards, 2 center lineup? What a mess of a franchise.

Someone is getting traded, but the roster still is a mess. I would ship out Noel and keep Okafor and Embiid. Put Simmons in at SF. Embiid will probably never be healthy, but that guy is a talent.

I mean Okafor is the only player that has legitimate value at this point. Nerlens is an incredibly talented defender, but without much of a mid range shooting game and an extremely skinny frame to bang in the post, he may never become a bona-fide starter.

Embiid is a hell of a talent, but his attitude seems that of someone whom doesn't seem to really care if he's never healthy or becomes anything. I've followed him on social media and read a lot about him. Seems veeeeery lazy, but that could be the wrong perception.

Okafor is a baller and will at the very least be a quality starter for a long time. Made no sense why they got rid of Michael Carter-Williams either. Another young piece that at the very least could be a long time backup point guard average 10 & 6-7 assists off the bench.

Simmons is an awesome prospect, but I think he's best suited to play power forward. I can't speak to whether or not he can develop a longer shot range, but if he can't he could struggle in this league. In a league where Serge Ibaka shoots 35% for his career from 3, you better develop some sort of deep range shot. Simmons would be awesome on a team like the T-Wolves, Wizards or Pelicans.

I don't think the 76ers talent fits at all. To be honest, they should look to draft Ingram instead of Simmons. Simmons can't shoot right now, I agree, but that can be developed. It maybe best to have him at PF for now, you have a good point. I can see him playing SF also. Simmons is a point forward, he will get others involved and he's decent defensively.

The real question is where can Okafor maximize his potential. He's a defensive liability at PF, because he can't guard stretch 4s. So what happens with Embiid, if he's actually healthy?

By the way, MCW can't shoot outside the paint, but he's great defensively.

You're right, but MCW can certainly get into the lane. He's extremely limited without that outside shot, but can help a team in a lot of categories. Maybe like a Shaun Livingston type of player with a better ability to drive/weaker post up game.

You're right. Okafor guards like a center, yet his offensive game is much more like a power forward. He could end up being a good help defender, yet an average to below average man to man defender. Similar to how Chris Bosh transformed into the defender he is/was once he started playing with LeBron. Their offensive games are similar too actually.

Embiid has all the skills to be the best center in the league. I'm just not sure he wants to do anything more than collect a pay check. If they drsft Simmons they end up with two bigs that cannot shoot at all in Nerlens/Simmons. It's tough to pass on someone who plays like Simmons though. He's awesome to watch and your right his play is similar to Draymond Green with better rebounding/worse shooting.

Sorry for all the comparisons, they seem pretty on IMO though. The only thing we can really do with the 76ers is speculate on potential.

Teams will clog the lane if you can't shoot and it affects the spacing on the floor. That limitation can hurt, but Jason Kidd in a different era was able to overcome it late in his career when he developed a jumpshot. MCW will also overcome it if he works on that jumpshot.

I think Bosh was a better athlete then Okafor, but the skill-set is very similar. Okafor has a great post-game early in his career though.

Your comparisons are legit no doubt, it should be interesting to see how these pieces fit. That team could really use a player like Buddy Held, cause the front-court is loaded with potential. Simmons is a great talent so you can't really pass him up.

Confetti after winning a game in a series where you got annihilated in the first 2? Pathetic...

    Lmao!

That Raptors team and fan base is something else.

    Confetti? Really?

You won one game and lost the last two by a combined 50 points. Wow

I think this was a humbling a needed loss for Cleveland. Winning 10 in a row seems to have made them a little to comfy and they shot horrible tonight. A loss like this keeps your head in the series and reminds you what the pain of losing feels like.

Cleveland will have a monster game next meeting.

The Warriors drop confetti after playoff wins as well. Most fracnhises do it after playoff wins. I have no idea why this is the case, but it's fairly common around the league.

where has this OKC team been in the past? This is insane. Rolled right over SA and now up 2-1 on GS.

Yeah, I would sit all the starters for the 4th.

They just seem to put it together at the very end of the season. I can't explain it, but I'm loving it.
