If CAVS can stay healthy this playoffs I too think they'll defeat GS. Sent from my BLU LIFE ONE X using Tapatalk
Parker wasn't a mess this series, although he was off in a few games. He took the back seat most of the season to facilitate Leonard and Aldridge and he ended up being more of a jump shooter than a slasher like he had been most years, he's just less effective scoring in this role. He's still a very effective facilitator. They aren't getting rid of Parker until he retires. Hell, they've let good PG prospects go because of him. George Hill and Goran Dragic notably. Fuck Mike Conley. Spurs need a center. I'll take Pau or Batum this off-season, and Steven Adams in 2017/18.
Byz, I didn't see Game Six. Why didn't Diaw play at all? Shocked to see he didn't even get on the court.
Diaw was injured at the end of the regular season and played sparingly (and not very effectively) in the playoffs, I'm guessing that injury want fully healed and Pop doesn't mess around with his players' health no matter the situation.
I'm not some huge Diaw fan, but they were so desperate for offense and Diaw often provides a spark. He must have been hurting. After game one, I'm stunned that it came to this. I've been looking forward to Spurs-GS WCF for like eight months. Jeez.
Yeah me too, but if there's one thing I know about Spurs teams is that when a team plays extremely physical against them they are either going to win a close game or get their asses kicked. I used to think that the refs had it out for them, but when you look at the foul count it's clear that the refs agenda is to keep the foul count close to even to avoid being called out for favoring a team. And when you have an extremely physical team against one that is coached not to foul, the former gets away with a lot of hard fouls and the latter gets called for a lot of touch fouls that are bullshit, not to mention more 3 seconds violations than a lot of other teams. Someday the NBA may be interested in actually calling the fouls on the floor, but it's probably not gonna happen anytime soon. Maybe after robot refs are invented.
They won't even put robot umps behind the plate. Having human home plate umpires is like having monkeys driving our school buses.
Doubt it. I don't see Toronto losing in Toronto. The numbers are also HEAVILY in favor of the home team winning in a game 7. Miami had a freak game last night. Dragic averaged something like 9 drives per game. Last night he had 21 drives and scored 30. I don't see that happening again, especially in Toronto. It will likely be close, but I think Toronto takes it. Either way, it doesn't matter. Both teams are playing to lose. Neither are beating Cleveland
Now is when the playoffs start IMO. OKC v Golden State is going to be a dynamite series. Steven Adams is going to play a big roll IMO, especially vs that lineup of Death for the Warriors. I can't wait to see Curry v Russ. I also wish Bosh got cleared because they would beat Toronto handily if he was healthy. Miami with Bosh could have pushed Cleveland to the limit but Cleveland has a day in the park vs the gauntlet that the Western Conference is going through.
I think OKC is really gonna challenge Golden State. OKC showed how deadly their defense can be the last game against San Antonio. I have never seen San Antonio look so lost to try and get a shot off. If they apply that same pressure to GS, they have a real chance at beating them. They need to worry more about that ridiculous screen and shoot GS does with Curry. The Blazers couldn't stop it and GS kept running it and running it and running it. Let the rest of the team beat you. You can't let Curry shoot like that. And I don't think the Heat would have been much trouble at all against the Cavs if Bosh was healthy. There are very few teams that can beat the Cavs right now, especially with the way they are shooting the ball. The Cavs were going to the Finals no matter the opponent. The question is, can they beat whoever is going in from the West?
Toronto still lacks a killer instinct. But I agree odds are more 60% in favor or Raps. Either way Cavs will be there...Thunder taking Warriors to 7. Can't decide yet who wins there but will probably be Warriors. Thunder need guys like Roberson to shine and Waiters to average 15 a game. Oh and Ibaka needs to get his defensive game in order
That's what the Spurs need really, a guy that can facilitate and shoot the 3 ball. Play some better defense. Parker should come off the bench and be the 6th man, give that offense a boost. Same with Danny Green, he needs to come off the bench as well. Parker is giving you below average production for that cap figure. Conley would be a clear upgrade that can shoot the 3 ball and I think he fits what the Spurs do. The problem is Parker's contract, I believe you would have to trade him IMO. Upgrade the back-court and get a shot-blocker like Biyombo from the Raptors. Not a chance you in another ring with Parker as the starting PG.
Nice for raptors but they are about to get killed against the CAVS. Sent from my BLU LIFE ONE X using Tapatalk
I think Toronto could win two games Cleveland massive favorites. 10.5 point favorites for Game 1 and -1100 to win the series.
Fuck Diaw he was the x-factor vs OKC last time we met in the WCF and lost. He wasn't missing anything.
I wouldn't look to conley as a 3 point shooter.. but i agree he'd be a huge upgrade in the Spurs "re-tooling" process.
