In 2013 Jets were the first team in NFL history to recover fewer than three opponent fumbles. Jets forced 18 fumbles and recovered just 2…LOL!!!

This game is pretty intriguing. Before the season started most people wrote it off as an absolute loss. I don't believe is quite that drastic today. While LV odd makers have jumped all over GB, it is primarily driven by one player and one player only. Rodgers. If the D gives him enough time he will be successful. We need to contain him in the pocket and crush their OL.

IMHO the rest of the team talent wise, is probably equivalent at the aggregate level. We are probably better in a number of areas except perhaps WR and give or take LB. Comparable in the secondary? and superior with the running game and the front 4.

As I mentioned in this thread before it will boil down to mistakes and execution errors. If we play a clean game we have close to a 50-50 chance. If we rattle Rodgers and force him off his rhythm we will be 2-0

We need to start strong and control the tempo. It will be a hell of a test for us.

We have to run the ball really well, which i'm not expecting to be a problem. Have to limit their offenses touches. Their defense is very beatable. We have to be able to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Win the battle up front and we have a chance.

It was the lowest amount in NFL history, i searched it a couple months ago and I believe was the worst since like 1960 or something. Also the Jets had the biggest point differential for 8-8 team in NFL history. Its actually remarkable we won 8 games, with our point differential we should have only won 4 games or so, with our fumble differential it should have been an even worse. It was nearly statistically impossible for the Jets to win 8 games, we were the first for both categories, but I guess thats why you play the game =p.

All things being equal the edge definitely goes to the Pack with extra days off, home opener, Etc.

If the Pack jump out to a big early lead, it's over. MM may be patient and stay with the running game, but it's hard to make up 14-21 points with just the RG.

If we win the coin toss I expect Rex to take the ball for this reason. If we're banking out keeping ARod on the bench and pounding it out, start with the first snap of the game.

Raiders played it safe with a Rookie QB, and Rex knew they would. Rex had Walls and AA keep the WRs in front of them and tackle at the point of catch. This eliminated YAC, but it also leaves us with no idea how our secondary will hold up to a true down field passing attack.

Our best hope is to get Geno going early with some nice ez throws plus some screens to CJ, and get our G&P going early and often. I would love to see Rex take the opening snap and drive it down their throats for 7. Set the tone for the whole game.

Crystal ball: 27-27 at end of regulation.

Yeah our defense was 0-2 again on fumbles against the Raiders right? And our offense 1/2 in recovering?

IM know our offense recovers way more fumbles per year than our defense LOL!

The cubs are on the real come up. The Astros are gone. It's the best division in baseball now, and it isn't even close.

I really think to win this game we need to get more out of our receivers. The Packers have had time to prepare and their plan is probably going to be to stack the box to make us beat them with long passes...I recall a lot of Geno's yards were through YAC and screens. There's no way Packers ( or any other team) will not counteract our strength in the running game unless we give them the threat of getting beat deep where we know Geno can make the throws.

I don't care if it's Salim Hakim, Salas or whoever but we need someone to keep the safeties honest here. We aren't going to keep up with Rodgers getting 1 reception from Nelson. These dudes need to step up.

By definition it isn't a turnover unless the defense ends up with the ball.
