Every year is different. There's no way of knowing if this schedule is easy or difficult until the end of next season.
This is EXACTLY what I posted in last years thread and ill post it again: A schedule is a schedule, I can easily see a bunch of teams that look good right now completely folding up next year. (Chiefs, Chargers, etc) at the same time teams like the Vikings and Lions might emerge as top competition. I never make a a big deal about the schedule because every opponent is difficult.
Fill a couple of holes and this schedule is completely manageable. We should be a playoff team next year.
I don't understand what makes people think that the Jets are the only team that will make moves and improve during the offseason. It's almost as if people expect every other team in the league, or at least in the AFCE, to stand pat.
At least 2 of the teams on the list will be a hell of a lot better than people expect and at least 2 will probably be significantly worse. One thing for sure is the Jets will probably win a game or 2 that you don't expect while laying a few eggs against inferior competition.. 8-8 here we come, woo hoo! , let's have a locker room party.
6-10 based on where our team is at right now. draft/FA could change that drastically. i think we go 3-3 in division. too many teams that can out score us or outphysical us. not good.
OMG such a easy schedule. We should be the 1st team to ever go 19-0 with who we have to play. Yeah so next year based on the easy schedule we got we will finally break the hex & win become the AFC champ as well as SB champ
I'd love love love to go to Lambeau. It's a rough looking schedule. I'll make a "prediction" after the draft.
It is a tough schedule, but we'll be a better team. Peyton will be here, which is good, and I'm glad the Packer game is at Lambeau so i can at least consider what it'd be like to take a road trip there. I know a Packers fan from this area who goes once a year, and says its not as hard as you'd think to get tickets at a fair price. A friend of mine says going to Nashville is also a good road trip game to go to. Ditto for SD. So, tough schedule, but some good away destinations for fan trips if you're so inclined.
That's very true, every team will be looking to make improvements every year. On the other hand, though, we do know that every year some teams decline a lot, and others improve a lot. Things like the salary cap, how many draft picks you have, and dumb luck play a huge role in whether a team improves or declines each year. Every year, there are those guys in the last couple of round or undrafted guys who end up being if not immediate contributors, at least quality depth. Having more draft picks makes that more likely. I think that since the Jets will have tons of cap space (nearly $50m I've heard) and 9 to 12 draft picks (more if the Jets trade down) (and including 4 picks in the first 3 rounds), the Jets do have the potential to improve a lot. That's probably a better situation than most teams have, in terms of draft picks and cap space. Also, the Jets' offense is so bad and is cobbled together with so many older players, that I think even getting in some mediocre players at wide receiver will lead to a big improvement in the team's overall effectiveness. If the Jets focus mostly on the offense, or go somewhat even between offense and defense, the offense should improve a lot, so there's reasons to be optimistic that the team should have a higher than average chance to be one of the teams that takes a significant step forward.
Looks like i'll be spending at least $700 this year on Jets home tickets.. always go to the pats games.. gotttta go see peyton.. Bears & lions game would be fun to go to also
]dolphins-win dolphins-win bills-win bills-win patriots-win patriots-loss vikings-win packers-loss bears-win lions-win chiefs-loss steelers-loss titans-win broncos-loss chargers-win raiders-win Nobody expected us to beat Saints,Patriots,Falcons when we saw schedule this year, there will be some wins no ones expecting only we will be a much better team 11-5
Off that schedule, how many road wins: Dolphins-W Bills-L Patriots-L Titans-L Chargers-W Chiefs-L Vikings-W Packers-L I got maybe 3 road wins. Put that with 5 home wins and you're at 8-8.
