Savage is much better, bigger, tougher, best pure pocket passer in the draft. cross your fingers we take him. if I recall we had talked to him.
While true, you have to rely on some sources. No fan has time and knowledge to do evaluation of prospect. At best you could expect some devoted draft maniac to review tapes for 30, maybe 40 top prospects. Outside of that you have rely on someone else. I have no idea if this guy is good, but believe in Rex at least re D players so I'll assume this guy is solid. That said, I'm leaning toward this pick being a reach.
I would have zero problem with this. I would be OK targeting the best K/PR left at this point and draft them solely for that purpose. The return game can be such a weapon if utilized properly. We were pretty spoiled under MW. From Leon, Justin Miller, B Smith, Chad Morten, etc. I know they have limited KO returns, but I am really sick of our PR's basically fair-catching almost everything. I want an attack element incorporated into the return game...
