The idea that the Jets would just randomly pick a couple of WRs just to say "you can't say we didn't draft a receiver" is kind of asking for it.
Saunders is a physical player and Ellington avoids contact. In case you didn't get the Jets meme this year it's "players who like to hit and don't mind being hit". Every player they have taken is in that realm.
Louis Riddick, former Director of Pro Personnel for the Eagles, singled out Yankey as a player overrated by the media experts. He said that he and scouts he knew thought that Yankey might go undrafter.
We're at the part of the draft where the value outweighs the concerns. We better have a some depth behind Colon. History tells us that it's highly unlikely that Colon will be able to play another 16 games w/o getting injured.
I thought common sense would suggest I didn't mean they literally said that. whatever. it is what it is. I didn't care for the pick. Some ppl did. "we can't predict the future" right?
personally with our comp pick I'd take one of 4 players, in this order of preference. Smallwood, Skov, Dion Bailey, EJ Gaines.
Saunders is probably the most physical player, for his size, in this draft. Mixes it up, not afraid of contact.
LOL...a second TE on the field usually takes the place of the FB not a WR unless we plan to use goal-line formation as our base package.
He's an offensive weapon I could care less about him avoiding contact. His strengths outweighs his weaknesses by far. But I won't complain about this anymore. It's behind me now. Let's hope we make better decisions to finish the draft. Give me abbrederis, colt lyerla
