I agree. Nelson seems very underatted amongst Jets fans.

That is very concerning. We are struggling to identify talent

Hence...being a "project" with upside. Unlike Hill in that, he's a 4th round pick, not traded up for in the 2nd. Also had twice the production.

Anyone think we should grab one of these QB's to just to have insurance in cas both Geno and Vick get hurt? Or is everyone happy with Simms? I kind like simms . Idk.

This is a nuts statement. Jalen Saunders doesn't get separation?

What I said is particularly true on offense. I want a stud offensive player so bad it hurts...I can't remember one in my lifetime and I've been a fan probably 15 years. Curtis Martin is the closest thing

The reason why the NFL Draft is so popular is because fans think they are smarter than the team they root for.

I like Simms too, but there's no reason not to bring in a 6th or 7th round guy to provide competition at 3QB and possibly find a talent that most teams missed. The worst that can happen is the new QB gets cut or stashed on the PS.

Ah fuck - Norwood off the board. That hurts.

The two receiver picks seemed like "you can't say we didn't draft a receiver" picks instead of people who'll actually make an impact. I woulda liked to take a chance on a guy with something special about him like Coleman or Bryant. Evans seems like a body catcher and Saunders looks like Ford imho. Whatever. It's just clear that we're allergic to drafting play making WRs. I guess by now I should just get used to it.

Not at the same rate as others that were left on the board. I'll never be able to get over why we chose to go with Saunders over Ellington ... I just don't understand

And a lot of times we are. Would you have rather had Alshon Jeffrey or Stephen Hill?? People told me to calm down about that one too.

I think they need to bring in a QB with one of these picks. I honestly don't see 12 guys making the squad, so they have to take some developmentals or boom/bust picks that might not make the team. QBs are tumbling down, so why the hell not!

Saunders if you use him properly is a blur. He's going to be a weapon in the small field and if you give him room....its scary. Same with Chris Johnson.

That's speculation and ridiculous speculation at that. Idzik, Bradway and Rex are definitely just saying 'F it', take two WRs I don't care who they are' we have lifetime contracts.

    Why are they a waste?

They fit well in MM offense. That is the important part. Saunders is also a very explosive playmaker that can have huge production for our team.

Evans has upside and has the build to be something special down the road. He was far more productive than Hill in college and I think Evans has a higher ceiling based off of his overall skillset coming out of college.

Wouldn't mind using a late pick on Eric Thomas from Troy. Small school kid with incredible hands. Specializes in highlight reel one handed catches
