I get it but there's really no place for that here. It's really not that important. Don't get yourself banned over it. _
In reality I think TCU should be ahead of FSU. I'm hoping this playoffs idea is changed to an 8 or more team thing in the future. It can be very difficult trying to place the top four teams in a situation like this. FSU is undefeated, so not putting them top 4 would be retarded when all the other teams have a loss. But who has FSU really played to make them top 4? They have no top 10 or top 15 wins on their resume. An 8 or 10 team playoff would alleviate this issue. It is very hard to fuck up the top 8 teams. Would also make the playoffs a lot funner. Teams that had great seasons that wouldn't normally make it, would get a chance to battle it out.
Meh, I'm not so sure. I don't think anyone out of the top 3 right now are deserving--and FSU is way more deserving than TCU. Maybe if Barrett were still healthy I'd say 4. Keep it at 4. The college season should count for something. 4 is enough. I want my champion to be the best in college football INCLUDING the regular season. I'd hate to see a 2 or 3 loss team win it all on a fluke. _
But why make it different just in college football? All playoffs in sports are built with more than 4 teams and is a shootout to bring out the best of the best. In theory, why isn't FSU number one? If this is based off wins and loses, which in the end, it is, why isn't FSU number one? They haven't lost in 28 games yet they are number 3? Alabama and Oregon both have a loss but they are number 1 and 2? Mixing wins and losses with personal opinions is a recipe for disaster. Base the ranking on wins and loses and change it to 8 or 10 teams. Makes the regular season important as hell and puts the top 10 teams in the playoffs. Of course other factors come in to play with college football strength of schedule and such but the top 10 teams can be figured out fairly easily.
Personal opinion but I find college football so much different than any other sport. Even the NFL. Btw, I think the playoffs in the NBA and the NHL are a joke, baseball is moving there and I'm pretty sure the NFL will get there some day. More playoff teams cheapens the regular season and I think that's especially true for college football. The regular season should count for a lot more than it does, adding an undeserving 4 teams is fraudulent. Only the very BEST teams should play for the championship. In years past there was always a true third team on the outside looking in. Rarely a fourth also. Never a 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. _
Oh and BTW, I was against a playoff system altogether. I don't NEED a definitive national champ. I was perfectly fine with the imperfect system and let people bitch about it. Bowl games and decide. Makes for more interesting conversation. _
Because FSU isn't good. They are above average and they are playing against crappy teams. They haven't been impressive at all.
