I hate them too, much more than the Spurs. I rooted for the Spurs almost to the point that I liked them in the finals last year. I respect them a lot. I don't respect the Heat. Fuck them. Also, I hate Ray Allen, for A leaving Milwaukee (tho I obviously can't REALLY blame him), and B for leaving Boston (who I dislike) for the Heat. He left a team that loved him, a fan base that loved him, players that loved him, for public enemy #1 just to win a championship. Reminds me of the new Broncos, hence why I cheered for the Seahawks in the SB, despite my best friend being a die-hard Denver fan.
Can't disagree with you here. I don't know if I hate the Heat as much as I hate the fans of the Heat. Or what they refer to themselves as "fans". Living in Miami has been brutal for a number of years. I watched the Heat win their first championship back in 06 and I watched how the "fans" disappeared from existence the next few years after that. I remember being in the Dallas airport when LeBron and Bosh signed and I remember thinking, "this shit will never end for Miami fans now". And sure enough, I was right. Now I dispise them more than I ever have before. It is one thing to build a team through the draft and work your way towards a championship. It is another to sign the most expensive three free agents on the planet and win championships. The latter just doesn't sit well with me. This is part of why I am rooting like all hell for the Knicks to sign LeBron. Do I think it will happen? No. But God, that would be epic to watch LeBron sign with Carmelo in New York and just stick it to Miami fans. I would LOVE that. It does help that I'm a huge Knicks fan though haha
I think game 2 will be more telling about this series. If Spurs come out and beat the crap out of em again, I think we have the series in the bag. If the Blazers show a lot of fight and still lose, then I know the games in Portland will not be easy. If the Blazers do actually beat us, then we have a series on our hands.
Blazers ain't winning that series. San Antonio has been on a mission ever since the finals last year.
Yeah I mean I dont think the Blazers have a chance to reach the WCF. Really, to me, only one team can derail San Antonio from winning the championship.
Definitely a different Portland team than I saw in the regular season. It was also the first evenly called game I have seen with the Spurs in a long time. I don't think either of those things will last in the next game.
That's crazy talk - especially when the Heat beat them last season. I also think the Clippers or Thunder could beat the Spurs in a 7 game series. I don't think the Blazer can keep up with the Spurs - Spurs actually play defense and have an excellent offense. Completely different then the Rockets.
James Harden is the best defensive player in the NBA. The fact that he doesn't win defensive player of the year every season is baffling
Wasnt it crazy talk when i said the Wizards would beat the Pacers? hows that working out? I might have been the only person in the world who was saying it back in february, and im probably the only person saying the Wizards are the only team that can beat the Spurs.
I fear the worst, 2 weeks is a LONG time, especially in terms of being away from the internet. Do you happen to have any information about who he is? perhaps we can find out what happenned.
Huge game for Hibbert he really needed this type of game after all the struggling, Durant about to get his MVP trophy in front of the home crowd.
