Ramona Shelburne @ramonashelburne · 1h There is language in the purchase agreement w/ Ballmer that states he will not move the Clippers from Los Angeles, source says.
It's too damn bad; it wouldve been awesome had he pulled a Hicks and lied to the fans, shipping the team off to Seattle. Give that city a team.
What an epic flop. I mean seriously, look at the damn score right now. I know the HEAT are a better team but the season is on the line is this is the performance by the Pacers. Larry Bird gonna smack some heads after this game.
I would agree, but the emphatic dunk and garbage time stats, oh well let them taunt. He no showed this game.
4 finals in a row is a crazy accomplishment. Also, what a shame. Brian Windhorst @WindhorstESPN 29s Kobe or LeBron will have been in every Finals since 2007 but never played each other. History's loss.
On CBS Sports Radio, they were just talking about how the Spurs have "The Spurs Way." Yeah no patriots connection whatsoever.
Blame Mike Brown for that, losing to the Magic and Celtics should have never happened. Even the 2012-2013 Lakers should have been more improved, hell they were the favorite to win the title before the season started.
I cannot see the Spurs blowing 2 opportunities to get to the finals. They will win either tonight or Monday.
I wonder what the Pacers plan on doing. They have the option to cut Turner who takes up 8 million, Stephenson is a free agent. It looks like they are over the cap already but can go to the luxury which will give them about about 12 million to spend. But in some wierd quirk I noticed in Paul Georges contract, he gets an extra 3 million if he gets named to the all NBA team so that means the Pacers would have 9 million. 9 million is probably around what Lance deserves but we all know some team will offer him more.
nba could never make it happen I guess. re: Pacers Turner was a failed experiment. They even didn't use him at all in several playoff games, indicating they are not planning on retaining him. Back to back ECFs and forcing Miami to 7 and 6 games is a pretty good accomplishment. With West turning 34 and Stephenson possibly leaving, who knows if they'll reach the ECF again in the forseeable future. Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 1h Yahoo Sources: Frank Vogel will return as coach of the Indiana Pacers. http://yhoo.it/1nQ7IZC
Anyone who thinks the Pacers had a bad season is delusional. They achieved a lot these past two years. Vogel said it best last night, Lebron is the Jordan of this era, he and his teams are going to be hard to beat. The Pacers really cant improve externally, they are probably losing Lance, (hell do they even want him back)? and there arent many players that they can just add. I could see them signing some quick-fix pieces like Vince Carter or something but nothing really major. They dont have a draft pick either.
Turner just didn't fit anywhere on the team. I agree with JVG that Vogel maxed out the team they had. Maybe even overachieved. I would say that the bad mark on Vogel is Green, Hansborough, Augstin all left the team and became valuable bench players that somehow could not develop in IND. I think I also agree that they rely too much on their starters which hindered the bench development. Oh and they way they went down without fighting the last two years leaves a bad taste I guess for the most recent memory.
I think he overachieved. If you look at the pieces on that team, there really isnt to many players really amaze. George is solid but guys like Hibbert only got attention BECAUSE they were on a top team, if Hibbert landed on some mediocre team no one would care about him. He did help the Pacers but its not like he was Shaq in his prime or anything.
You know guys, I'm not overly excited about this game. My confidence in game 7, if it even happens is not very high, so it's hard to be excited, and all 100% into it, when we're pretty much expected to win tonight. Nothing good can happen tonight, only bad.
