I did like what he did the possession before, though. The announcers didn't mention it, but he pulled up and shot a quick 3 with 31 seconds left, for the 2 for 1. It worked. Too many teams don't go for the 2 for 1 (Miami repeatedly passed on the opportunity).
Some sort of demonic entity (that I have encountered before) cut his head open. Never seen a poltergeist enter a professional basketball game but I am not really surprised either tbh.
Ibaka limping/hobbling Reggie Miller was taking jabs at Ibaka before the game, saying "I want to see this mix of Hakeem/David Robinson..." Meaning he's not as valuable as people say. Ridiculous.
that was definitely a smart move, in that situation when the other team is holding for the last shot and there's a poor free throw shooter, you may as well. I think you can't do that in the last 2 minutes of a half, but at the end of the first and third that works. Strange call goes against San Antonio. Mills had already released a 3 and they called a foul and said the shot didn't count.
There were a lot of strange calls in this game, and non-calls as seems to always be the case when the Spurs play.
Having Iblocka back was really the difference in this game. I suppose it's possible we would have won anyway, but I'd never bet money on that. We need to get him out of the game, and get him rested up. We're still in this if he can stay healthy.
Ibaka or no Ibaka, Thunder were going to win tonight. The Thunder have pride to and I couldnt see them getting dropped 3-0.
Lol shaq...clown just said wade won all his championships being the "other guy"... Wade gift wrapped shaq a ring in 2006.
Thunder played a great game last night, they were able to close passing lanes most of the night and never lost their intensity. Spurs on the other hand played a pretty good offensive game in the first half and then came out of the locker room flat and let themselves get pushed around, played shit defense the whole game, too. They usually get killed by Pop after a game like this and come out firing, so I'm excited to see how the next game turns out. Great quote from Pop's postgame, when somebody asked him about Manu going to the locker room in the 4th: "He'll be fine... *long pause, stares around the room* ...or he's done for the rest of the playoffs."
Thunder free throws attempted - 31 Spurs - 16 And Adams could have easily been fouled out with the amount of pushing in the back he did in the paint last night. Instead, what did he have, 2 fouls?
Brutal how? Most of those guys never see the court in the POs unless it's a blowout one way or another.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nb...grizzlies-dave-joerger-robert-pera/?eref=sihp Sounds like Dolan is taking over Grizzlies. The Mike Miller suggestion is so over the top I don't think even Dolan would have considered something like that
I know. I'm saying in garbage time the offense stops functioning without the rotation guys out there. Shaq is such a hypocrite and he doesn't get called out on it. He had the brass to criticize players for not playing hard, saying that he always played and he always played hard. Except he was well known for dogging it and missing games because he didn't feel like playing (once notably refusing to have surgery in the offseason so he'd miss as many games as possible).
