Yea Soxxx what's your address?? I gotta Filipina honey that I'm gonna send over there to scrape your face off with a chickens foot
You really think he opted out and Riley promised him a long term contract? I dont know about "thanks for what you done" contracts DP. Unless Riley is pulling Anthony out of his ass for next year...I cant fathom another scenario where Riley wins and Lebron blows him for a job well done. That is the only way I see Lebron returning a happier camper....Anthony or bust. Im talking about for this year. I might be stupid..in fact its probable...but for the life of me, I cant see how Wade comes out a winner opting out. He would be making 20 million a year if he didnt right? So he opts out..and lets say Riley is feeling all Santa Claus...ish. He gives him 4 years at a reduced 14 million. He still loses no? I dont understand it. And lets say Anthony doesn't sign in Miami.....I know I keep repeating this but again, its the only BIG move out there to blow Lebron away..but if he doesn't, so Lebron is going to throw a year away ala Anthony if Anthony resigns with the Knicks. I really think the reason no one has signed is because we are not stupid...what doesn't make sense to us makes no sesne to any of these players. You have the giraffe Bosh sitting out there and weighing his contract proposal from Houston...I mean...what the hell is he waiting for? Lebron to sign with the Heat and then he can pass up the 22 million? is it? a year to take 6 or 7 million less and have the basically the same roster as last year? Im beginning to think that the reason there are so many guys with their heads in the sand is because like us, it just aint working out for the spoiled little bastards...all of them. There isnt that guaranteed team to win a championship..and get max contracts. Life is no longer perfect for them. Anthony gets to play with Chicago but take 6 million less? Its even more then that with the Knicks. Anthony can go to Miami maybe if Bosh goes to Houston and its him and Lebron and Wade? Wade? Guaranteed? I will tell you this, Jackson is either going to smell like a rose or spend the next year praying something goes his way next year. If the rumors are true of possibly dumping Amare's contract THIS year...you have to wonder if something is going on behind the scenes in N.Y. Im not saying that as a Knick fan....but who would have thought he would be able to get rid of both Felton and Chandler this year.
I have said this numerous times on this website....how every tgg'er doesnt love you is beyond my thinking. You are a God sir.
Agreed MS....most underrated thought of as a scumbag but actually profit ever to type on the world.....wide...web.
Yeah, someone brought up that idea earlier in this thread. I had not considered it, but why would Wade opt out of 2 years and 40+ if there wasn't an agreement from Riley to a long term deal equaling that value or more? Maybe Riley turns around and lowballs him and acts disloyal, but I would think Wade was given some indication from Riley he was getting paid and that's why he opted out. Thanks for what you've done would be given to Wade, the 3-4 year deal giving him his 40+. Remember, NBA is guaranteed. So let's assume Wade opted in twice and got his 40 and then signed a 2 year deal totaling 14 which would be an overpay. That gets him to 54 over 4, but if Riley gives him 50 and 4 straight up, it's guaranteed 50 vs taking that risk in 2 years in FA where he's probably even more broken down physically. Lebron and Bosh is a top team in the East. Bosh has said he loves Miami and while he wouldn't get the max, he would be in a place he enjoys and relocated too. It does come down to off the court stuff too and somehow Miami organization has reportedly blown Bosh away with how great it is. Yeah like I said before, the Lowe article showed how basically the owners are taking more money from the players and there's nothing the players can do. On top of that, media wise, players are vilified for taking less and teaming up and vilified for taking the max and looking to get paid. Owners win in the media too. Players have a balancing act of wanting to win and taking less. The cap is set up where the owners are saying, you have to take less to win which isn't necessarily true, but would help the owners save a ton of money. I mean it worked on you . You are calling the players spoiled in a system where the billionaires are getting more money. Either way, someone rich is getting more money. I'm just piggybacking off the article, but it's funny how we ask the millionaires to take less to win, but in the end the less they taking ends up saving money or adding money to the billionaires pockets. Jackson is fine no matter how this breaks. The Amare move will probably only be made if there is a Bargs move lined up a verbal agreement from Lebron, or at least that's the only way I want to see the Amare move made. Amare plus Timmy or Shump for no salary back is great and all, but if that move isn't to get someone great like Lebron, is it worth to lose a young player for Amare whose salary is gone after next year? Balancing act for Phil. I was shocked he got rid of Felton somehow and we got some decent things back including two draft picks! We got young real quick, but he has the Amare and Bargs albatross basically limiting him this year.
Well here we go folks. Melo is waiting to try and see if Phil Jackson will bring LeBron to New York. According to Melo: "He really wants LeBron to come to New York,’’ the source said. “That’s his dream right now. Phil is trying to get it done.’’ Phil Jackson would need to do a lot and they both would need to take less, but it is possible. Phil Jackson can clear $40 million with some moves. Lebron on playing in New York: “He didn’t want no part of New York in 2010,’’ the source said. “But he loves Phil and the chance to play with Melo.’’ Wow!
The way I understand it is Wade had 2 years left at $20 mill a piece. He opts out with the understanding he gets more years (his last contract) at less per year money but for more total money. Say $14MM a year for 4 years for a total of $56MM. If he stayed for the 2 years at $20MM per, he's not getting another contract. He actually loses $16MM in total compensation. He's the mayor of South Beach, will be an employee for life, maybe they give him a tiny piece of the team. It's not just the two years to think about. It's the rest of his life as the face of the Miami Heat. Just what I've heard. _
You're one of those guys aren't you? Last time I checked the guy who won was the finals in 2006 was drafted by Riles. Did he BUY the 2006 title too? You don't have to worry about Saint Riles ALWAYS delivers.
