The Celtics did not win, you can not call a winner of that trade yet. The Nets traded for the service of Pierce in Garnett for last season AND next season. I know what happenned with the Knicks situation, Melo was threatening to go to Brooklyn that offseason/Brooklyn was threatening to trade for him. Melo made it clear he wanted to become a Knicks. Dolan jumped in and forced Walsh to pull the trigger, Walsh did not want to make the move (and ive been hearing that on the radio for years now). Regardless, Dolan has been obsssesed with Carmelo since Lebron made his decision, he was hell-bent on bringing him in and it will be very interesting when Melo becomes a free agent tonight. Does Dolan jump in again? Its entirely possible, I think he will stay out and allow Jackson to make the moves but this is going to be a real test.
Actually, you can. I called it when the trade happened. That was one of the most lopsided trades I have ever seen. Celtics sent washed up junk they didn't want anymore for a bunch of assets. That was a trade Isiah would've approved of. Wreck your future for basically no present benefit.
Like I said before, go read up on the situation again. You have a bunch of mistakes in this post about the whole trade. If you just said Dolan forced it, you would be correct, but you are adding incorrect details.

Doc Rivers to pursue Paul Pierce now that Kidd is out of Brooklyn. Clippers could be a complete powerhouse next season.
No im not, you failed to mention the Nets impact. You have mistakes in yours. I do not. Heres evidence: http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/news/story?id=6005596
I dont see how that will work, Pierces contract is quite large. I think they would have to give up Deandre...
"Clippers have been shopping Matt Barnes and Jared Dudley around. Again, upgrading small forward position is a priority for Rivers." If Doc were to reunite with Pierce, it would heavily depend on KG and what he decides to do. If KG retires, Pierce will take a pay cut to get out of Brooklyn. If KG sticks it out for another year, Pierce is likely staying in Brooklyn.
I dont think he can just take a paycut. He cant opt out(its to late now anyway), he is under contract. Both the Nets and Clippers used their amnesties to so im really not sure how they could do this.
Nets Lost $144 Million in 2013-14 http://grantland.com/the-triangle/g...e-jason-kidd-mess-has-a-144-million-pricetag/
Oh wow I screwed up, I was looking at the cap I saw 2014 and assumed it meant 2014-2015 Yeah I dont see why they cant sign him then. He will have to take less more than likely but he probably could get the Clips to give him 3 years which might be more than other teams.
Kobe called Lebron. http://www.rantsports.com/nba/2014/...-to-lebron-james-carmelo-anthony-is-pathetic/
^That's hilarious. Our dumbasses on ESPN NY radio constantly bitch and whine about why other people aren't recruiting like Rose, and completely bashing him for it. Now the media is bashing Kobe for reaching out, calling it "pathetic". Now that Bosh is signed in Miami, Wade and Lebron should take their talents elsewhere. The ultimate scam getting rid of the weakest part of the big 2.5.
Dwayne Wade to return on a 4 year deal with a salary of $12 million for the first year. $10 million less than if he didn't opt out.
LeBron looking for a max deal on a one to two year contract. Also, Chicago very pessimistic about singing Carmelo Anthony.
Woah let me figure this out. 11+12+16=39 million between the big 3, which leaves them 16 million. Its still cutting it close, they only have 3 players signed I believe (Cole, Bosh, Wade). Throw in Ray Allen for 2 million, Haslem for a couple million. I think the Heat dont have enough to get Lowry because they will easily get outbid and it would kill any other potential signings.
