It's weird. Losing Westbrook and Ibaka is bad luck obviously, but Brooks also made some strange coaching decisions. Which leads to the idea do we need to cut him a break for losing two top players on his team? (my answer is no) We judge him on a very steep curve and forget he basically had to adjust the team during the playoffs in 2013 and 2014 by losing a key player
Westbrook is good, but the thing is, its like gambling with him, rolling a 6 sided dice 7 times and Westbrook is on 2 out of the 6 numbers on the dice. So yeah they could win a finals but odds are they just won't. Its not all Westbrooks fault, the entire teams offense has no philosophy, its a very badly run offense but gets hidden because of the pure talent and abilities of the players on the team.
True I mean every coach has had a bad series. Popovich in 2012 WCF just couldn't do anything right after being up 2-0....
Russ averaged 28 pts 8 assist and 7 rebounds per game in the playoffs... (u know... where it means something ..) ... Let another PG do that he'd be crowned best PG in the league with ease right now. Critics will wake up after this MVP caliber season from West
24 Billion, repeat Billion, dollar TV deal for the NBA. That uh shattered projections. Look out for two things, a) salary cap has to rise b) players trying to rally pre 2017 opt out lockout
I'm real excited this season to see how our young guys do...James ennis and shabazz Napier can become awesome players. Much more exciting than the same old Dolphins
Kobe going off at the end of a preseason game against the Suns incredible they knew he was going to do it and were helpless
overtime now lakers were up 2 with the ball, missed both free throws phoenix missed a 3 at the other end, offensive rebound, hit a 2 at the buzzer
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...s-repeat-lebron-james-cleveland-cavaliers-mvp GM's pick the Spurs to repeat. Its going to be hard, the last 2 seasons the Spurs were not expected to win it all, this year they are. If they stay healthy I believe they can do it, Leonhard going to have to become the top player on this team. The offense has not really been centered around him but I believe it can be, he took a huge step in the playoffs last season. I am not sure the Clippers are ready to go all the way to the finals, heck I would be shocked if they are playing in the finals next June. The Thunder might be able to get there but we will see. The last team that I believe has a shot here is Dallas, I think they upgraded their team and have the potential to be in the top 4 in the west. I am not buying the Warriors, Rockets, or Blazers....
heard that on the radio. Don't really understand why it's newsworthy. My prediction is that the Spurs won't win.
OKCs gunna have to win its home games, not sure what happened in Brooklyn tonight but not going to make a big deal of it either.
