While you are googling, I'll let you know that this is the medium level difficulty answer to this argument. I handed you the easy level one a while ago and you didn't realize it. I'm eagerly awaiting your answer to this one so we can get dirty.
They better play Amaro's big ass on that line more than 60% of the time, cuz when he dominates and we have to pay him in a few years, I wanna give him TE money not WR money... See the Jimmy Graham situation for the exact thing I do not want to happen.
I don't think there's gonna be a Jimmy Graham situation here. Amaro is gonna be a bit target that should get many catches. Jimmy Graham is a freak of nature, which is part of why he is demanding of so much.
So anyway, now that Exclamationpointo21 has tapped out, what alignments on defense can you guys see being rushed to a line where we have Cumby-Sudfeld-Brick-Winters-Mang-Colon-Breno-Amaro *wide° Decker With XQB and CJ in the backfield on second down?
I think a lot of it has to do with him knowing how good he is and how unreplaceable he is. Jimmy Graham knows damn well that he can get anything he wants. Why? Because he's the best TE in the league and possibly the best TE of the last decade. Yes, he lined up more off the line than on, but he's got more ammo than that when looking for his pay day. Guys like him come once in a million, and he knows that.
They should play Amaro at whatever position will help the offense score as many points as possible. Regardless, the TE/WR controversy would only arise if the Jets placed the franchise tag on him, and we typically tend to give deals instead of franchising.
Richardson behind three tight ends? Are you still talking about NFL formations, or switched to alternative lifestyle? Not that there's anything wrong with that...
The 2 TE set is something that is an exciting prospect. Amaro & Cumberland seem to compliment each other well. Cumberland is perfect for down the seam & outside the numbers while Amaro finds space in the short/intermediate flats. TE's are hard to keep healthy so that will need to be a priority. I highly doubt we ever see all 3 on the field at the same time. I like Sudfield as the #3 & to fill a role for a few games if one of them happens to go down though. The internal dilemma is unless we're going empty backfield, the 2 TE set removes the slot receiver from the field. Whether that is Kerley or Saunders, that appears to be another position of strength for the Jets. Not exactly a bad problem to have & would likely be resolved as predicated by the situation
