I'd be curious where the friction is coming from? Ownership? The GM? He's in a pretty ideal situation there.
The Ravens are about to have a changing of the guard. Ozzie Newsome is getting to the age (60 next year) where the transition is starting to become inevitable. Harbaugh may prefer starting fresh in another organization with upgraded clout. He may want to shop for the vegetables as well as cook the meal.
Joe and Evan filling in for Mike Zaun. Anyone catch the interview with Ian Rappaport just now? Beningo took him to task haha it was kind of awkward.
They were discussing the Jets, next game, potential Playoffs etc. Rappaport made some idiotic comments. For example, he said Marshall and Decker are "ok." Just before that comment, he generally stated that the Jets really "aren't that good." Those two things set off Beningo, who proceeded to grill Rappaport about the talent of this Jets team. At one point, while they were comparing/contrasting this team to the 2009-2010 teams, he asked Rappaport if he thinks that Fitz this season was better than Sanchez's years here, and Rappaport went with Sanchez.
The interview definitely took a turn toward the contentious. Evan and the others were talking about it afterward. I assume it'll be available online sometime soon.
I'm not sure how to embed this type of file (if it's possible), so here's the link to the audio page. if you scroll through the list, you'll see the interview with Rappaport on there. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/audio/wfan-audio/
Yeah that's pretty crazy. If anything I'd love to have had Fitz qbing the 2010 team. We had Holmes, Edwards, and Cotch (who's still going strong in Carolina) at WR. Keller at TE, and Greene and LT running the ball very well that year. So that teams offense had some pretty decent weapons and a much better oline then this 2015 team. It would've been good to see but we'll never know.
Rappaport sounded like he hasnt slept in 2 weeks. Everything he said about Cincy , they are great up the middle , cover well etc , can be said about the Jets. And to call Marshall and Decker "ok" is the biggest laugh I've had in awhile. Jets might have the best WR combo in the AFC.
I definitely cringed after some of his responses. He sounded confused and unprepared--either that or he hates the Jets. Does anyone know if he's a Pats fan?
umm Rappaport did the Pats beat for the Globe for years before he was hired by NFL Network. Common knowledge
Very unprepared. Kept saying "that's a good question". Basically a different way of saying "I have no fuckin idea!"
Yeah, he has no clue. National guy who has no clue about what's goin' on in NY and runs with what his impression is from the outside. Just riding what he thinks is popular opinion. When some schmuck like Peter King says they're good waves of these douche bags follow suit I don't like BadaBingo thinking he speaks for Jets fans but that's a good job by him
LOL Brandon Marshal is 5th in the league in receiving yards with 1376 yards, he's got 13 receiving TD's which ties him with Odel for second best in the league among wide receivers. Only Doug Baldwin and Allen Robinson have more receiving TD's with both being tied for first in the league with 14. And he's 6th in the league with 101 receptions. What the FUCK is not elite about any of that?! That's insane to say to call that type of production "ok".
