stabile personality wise, Finnegan was a threat to blow at any point and often hurt his team b/c of it. FA is a risk, if you are going to dip into it be prepared to see busts. It happens, no one can predict how a player will react to getting a big contract. for some guys it motivates them to live up to it, for others it shows they made it and they relax.

Whitner's old ass is getting paid.. Wow. Byrd or Ward can still be Jets by the end of the day.

RT @RapSheet: When the #Browns reach a deal with Donte Whitner, I’m told it’s expected to be four years for an average of $7M per year.

I bet you Geno is pumped right now to see the weapons we might be snagging. It must get exciting to see your team snag some real talent that you will be throwing to

Tarrell Brown is a good #2 corner as well that can be had for a relatively cheap contract.

His agents could have been asking for too much.

corner in general is just a volitile position... even the best guys can go from looking elite to awful just switching teams. look at nnamdi for example.

its the one reason id want revis back if he is cut. we know what he can do here. and if he'd take 12-13M it would be worth the extra money.

Can't really put Nnamdi in this conversation... He was asked to play man which he never did in Oakland... That's like asking a QB to play Power Forward...

    Whatever.

Let Howard see the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

I'm sure we made a fair offer to him, so if he can get more somewhere else, good on him.

No point in overpaying for a league average RT

premium positions will be getting overpaid and we will have to overpay to get/keep guys. The cap is going up and up, teams have money.
