Solid point. Something has to be going on with the hip, more then is let on to. My feeling is I would rather have not paid Patterson the $3million because he can't stay on the field. I love Idziks approach but hate this signing.
Im not being sensitive, but when you say "....you may want to reconsider your stance..." it sounded like you were being combative, if that makes sense. I dont mind the $3 million mainly because its a 1 year deal. After this year he comes off the books, good, or bad. He's not a great player or anything but he some talent, even if he's only a backup I believe you have to spend a certain amount of your cap money anyway. You can only take so much into next season. Don't quote me on that but I believe its something along those lines.
I agree with 100% no way do I think Patterson is worth 3 million I would guess that he would have to earn most by his performance on the field. Obviously we would all take a healthy Cro over Patterson but Cro just ain't healthy anymore
True. I still think we pick corner early in the draft, 1st 3 rounds. I hope we don't pick one in the first round since we need some more help on the other side of the ball.
Prediction for our next signing, who y'all got? Coleman visited today and the guard Ohrnberger yesterday. I'd say we add one or the other in the next 48 hours.
I think that cap rule applies to the average over 4 years, but not 100% positive. I hope we still pull of a draft day trade for a veteran CB. Similar to the Ivory deal....
You have no idea how the contract is structured or what playing incentives are included in that contract, you are just complaining that they didn't sign Cromartie. Over and over and over again.
Nah I haven't been complaining over and over again. I have expressed that disinterest today on two different thread a couple times so thats not true. Haven't posted in weeks and today is the first time posting about it so not sure what you a re talking about.
Kurt Coleman isnt even a step up over Dwan Landry ,Landrys the better overall player,I guess its a depth signing if we do end up signing him.Allen has a lot of upside if we don't cut his time on the field in half with guys like Ed Reed
based on last year I believe he follows that philosophy and that is good news for us. This draft coming up is going to be the one we look back at if we are a SB team w/in a few years.
I am hoping the Jets sign Ohrnberger for depth .... and for the fact he is one of the funniest guys to follow on Twitter. If any of you are Twitter followers ... check his past posts. Good times.
There were talks that Evan Mathis was on the trading block about a week ago. I wonder if that will develop into anything.
Adam Schafter: Former Broncos CB Champ Bailey is visiting New Orleans, per source, and plans to take at least another trip depending ontalks with Saints. I don't know whether it has already been posted, but how would you feel about Bailey visiting with the Jets? There are no reports about him signing with the Saints so far. He might be able to have one good seasons (certainly wouldn't sign him for more than one year) in case he bounces back from last season's form. That would give us more time to develop young CBs.
