Do you think Ford could be our potential number 1? Or number 4?

Special teams returning kicks and punts. He might be the guy that might beat Hill for that final roster spot.

Was just watching some of his highlights.. Dude can fly.. If he can produce on Special Teams and contribute somewhat on offense, than this is a good signing.

so with Ford here I'm good with letting him and Salas fight it out for a ST spot.

how many WR slots will be used anyhow? 5 is typical but 6 could be arranged if one is for such KR/PR purpose.

Is Ford still a speed threat after his foot injuries? Something tells me he isn't

I'll be disappointed if we end up having to bring him back, but you may be right. It looks like he will probably start the season off with a 4-game suspension because of his arrest after the season, and who knows if he'll get suspended again for PEDs? (I know he said it was a mistake/accident on his part, but it could happen again.) I just don't know that he's reliable enough in terms of suspensions and his health.

Patterson isnt a bad cover corner. It's a solid move.

He fits in the same category as Walls and Lankster.

If Walls is a candidate to start, so is Patterson.

Walls and Patterson will compete for the #2 spot.

    At least I hope so.

I may want to reconsider my stance? Why? I don't care about Cro. That's irrelevant to the Jets signing of Dmitri Patterson. I'm commenting on Patterson as a player. Simple as that.

If the Jets would have rather have Patterson on a relatively similar contract than what Cro got that has to tell you something. Cro was a great team guy and someone you definitely want in the locker room. This tells me that the doctors don't feel like his hip has improved. No point in paying him and relying on him after the worst year of his career.

Easy there.......wasn't sure if you knew the $$ amount. Its so funny how sensitive people are.....lol.

Anyway, at $3 million I don't like this move at all. Rather save the $3 million and stay the course. A guy who can't stay healthy isn't worth a $3 million contract even if its for one year IMO
