He's alot like Cro was before he came here. Elite athlete w/ top speed/height w/ so-so change of direction, sloppy technique & below average tackler. He would've made sense paired w/ Milliner in this D..but..sorry...I'm not giving the guy a 5 year deal. I think people are vastly overrating the need at CB. Yes having 2 #1 corners was great for Rex's D. But he's survived w/ a conventional #1 & #2 in the past..he can do it again.Wilson & Walls is no slouch for a TC competition. It's also a heckuva lot cheaper & will allow us to address other needs.
Wilson is an excellent slot CB. He has the #3 spot locked up for a while. #2 is what we are looking at, I think the Jets should look to give Walls a try here. We gave Antonio Allen a try, why not Walls? Millner has got a lot of growing up to do. He was pretty much the #1 CB the last few games anyway, he was on Josh Gordon, Mike Wallace. He was the #9th pick, he should be our #1 CB. Honestly if Rex really feels this team needs to select a CB high, he doesn't trust himself to coach those young players up and he should not be the coach going forward.
The Jets need to start focusing on Safety, LB, and pass catching RB now. Get his fucking shit done Idzik.
That's assuming Milliner continues to get better. While I expect that to be the case if he doesn't we are absolutely fucked schematically. I definitely want to bring back Cro for one more.
wonder what the details of his deal will look like? he can't be making a lot this season certainly given the giants cap situation. If he makes more than 10 mill the next two seasons with little room for cutting him, we'll know it was best not to make that move.
He's done now. He's a step slow due to injury. But if we're comparing a healthy Holmes vs Decker. It's close IMO.
What are people's thoughts on Erin Henderson? Only 27... 112 tackles 4 sacks and 2 int last season while playing 14 games...still a FA
I'm sure he worked hard in the offseason. He even took all the young db's under his wing. He claims he wanted to retire a Jet and WANTS to be here. He worked hard, never complained and did everything that was asked of him. How was that loyalty rewarded. He got cut.
Awww....you are cute Sweetie. To refute my post, please post all the AFC East, AFC Conference and SB appearances What's that....you can't? Oh well........suck it. That makes you a little bitch sunshiner.
If his game translates to playing ILB in a 3-4, he'd be worth a look and especially if he's adept in coverage
No you were not. You were complaining about letting Holmes go and getting Decker instead. Not Holmes of the past -- Holmes of now vs Decker of now.
Good post. On points A and B, AMEN!!! On point C, Hallelujah!!! Thank God! On point D, I sure hope you're right (if they are) On points E & F, totally agree I have been solidly in Idzik's corner, but I am getting more and more concerned. There's slow, and there's glacially slow. There's cautious, and then there's inflexible/stubborn.
Made me go back... Ok then. And then fans wonder why Revis showed no loyalty to the Jets. Here is a guy in Cro that busts his ass for us and plays hurt and give it his all. And what do we do. We cut him in order to bring in "better" players. Now where did Cro's loyalty get him? Tell me how you are not saying that "Revis showed no loyalty" was expected because Cro's loyalty got him nowhere.
Cromartie definitely made some money off the Jets if they want him back after pursuing other guys. No way he'll take any kind of discount
Whats up with Carlos Rogers on a 1 yr deal if Cro gets a better offer elsewhere? Was he that bad last year? Just 2-3 yrs ago he was excellent in SF.
HOW DARE YOU GUYS EMBRACE A POSITIVE OUTLOOK AND GIVE THE NEW GUY A CHANCE TO INSTITUTE HIS IDEAS AND POLICIES. HOW DARE YOU MAKE AN ATTEMPT AT UNDERSTANDING, PATIENCE, AND ESPECIALLY HAPPINESS. YOU WILL ALL BURN IN HELL FOR THIS; GO ROOT FOR ANOTHER TEAM IF YOU AREN'T READY TO FIGHT SOMEONE OVER THE FAILURE OF THIS OFFSEASON.
