    DRC probably was willing to take 7, but visited us first to see if he could get more. Idzik didn't bite. Cromartie and Greer are semingly the only two worth signing at this point

    So is it better than 50-50 we go defense in the first and possibly the second round?
    Gilbert and a top Safety might be looking mighty good to the Jets right now

    God damn, some of you guys still don't understand that a player signing means the PLAYER CHOSE to sign somewhere. Who is to say we didn't offer the same or more but DRC liked Coughlin or Reese or the Giants situation in general more than us?

    This sucks was hoping to get DRC, well if Idzik's master plan is for our secondary to get burnt for 500 yards every game mission accomplished. Rex must be searching for some snacks right about now.

    You can roll it over to next year. Over 4 years, you have to spend 89% of the cap.

    I was under the impression that if we dont spend 90% of our cap we are in trouble? at this moment in time we have about 30% of it left no? so how do they shift this money?

    It's official, no cornerbacks what to play for the jets, DRC is gone, jets will have to "eat crow" and beg Cromartie to come back

    Ryan Clarks reaction to Revis signing:

    @Ryan Clark
    Must be nice to earn $12 million in one year & have people applaud you for taking #LESS money. Oh the struggle

    Sign this beast lol I like him already

    Lol at some people on twitter claiming that its going to be built during the draft. Realistically they have 5 picks max of players that can contribute and holes at OLB, Safety, Cornerback, Wide Receiver, Tight End, Guard, Running Back. And that would be if they hit on 5 straight picks.

    Also, isn't there a salary cap floor that they need to meet. Why not just keep Cromartie if you aren't going to spend the money elsewhere.

    If Rex doesn't like it he can quit. I guess there is no doubt who is in charge here and it's not Rex.

    They lost Hixon too. Right now, their WRs have a combined total of 5 career receptions.

    @BrianCoz: An agent told me the other day that Idzik "won't budge an inch" in negotiations. I think we're seeing that. #nyj

    There's a point in there. I'm not sure how Idzik comes across in interviews. I'm sure Rex comes across fine but Idzik I'm not sure.
    If that's the point you thought I was making I'm sorry but it wasn't. I think everybody has Lee and Ebron rated higher than Cooks even though Cooks burned up the combine, not mock drafters and I still think if we are drafting offense (and I don't know now) it would be one of those two over Cooks..just an opinion and we will all get to see it play out if two of them are still on the board when we pick.
