Read Mehta's Rex Ryan quote re: losing DRC to the Giants. It reads as if he pulled out the funnies in a newspaper and quoted the first bubble he saw.
I've heard the Jets and Giants have both made their offers to DRC and he's expected to choose one. Apparently the Jets angle is his spot in the defense and the money is fair, the Giants contract is an overpay apparently. So, lets see if DRC wants money or better play because he's better off in our defense
In RB's you look for a cheap one or two year option. If Moreno was cheap I'm sure the Jets would be looking at him.
Funny thing is, better play will lead to a better contract later. If he takes Giants' offer and plays like shit, he's probably done in the NFL depending on life of contract.
LT did after he joined the Jets. Yes, the offensive line was better, although SD had a pretty good line also. The real difference was how the Jets used LT.
It's not just that, he's burned so many bridges with the Jets at this point. You can't cover a team you despise and that despises you.
Cro would take whatever we would give him to play here, I'm sure Arizona is offering more than what we would.
If the Giants are offering more money then DRC is going to go there unless he feels the Giants multi-year offer is a bad deal. Then he might take a 1 year offer from the Jets to go back on the market next year after (hopefully) shining in Rex's scheme.
