Only the highest upper deck tix have been slashed, those are seats that have become difficult for almost all teams to give away due to the TV experience with the awesome new technology advances in television. Ask me, and I'd much rather watch the game at home with some brews on my couch with some friends instead of freeze my ass off in nosebleed section. They still are selling PSLs though ;-), the biggest crock of a scam in the sporting world. And all of you who have bought them mess it up for all of us average joes who used to be able to have decent season tickets. I'd call for a boycott on that crap. regarding the cap, yes that is the part that infuriates me too. Not that he didnt make huge splashes, but that he didnt fill holes, all the quality is gone, solid options signed elsewhere at affordable rates, and we have $30m plus in cap room. I said it earlier, and I wasn't joking, the NFLPA may file a grievance (not that it would mean anything other than the NFL would crack down on us next year to make us get close to the cap). I believe this happened in the last few years with the Bengals, and now they must spend bc of the grievance .. or maybe it was another team, if so, someone help me out, but I know it happened. That they charge PSLs, and $75 parking but have 30m left in cap space is UNACCEPTABLE. This cannot be defended.

This is exactly what a rebuilding club does though. They rely on young unproven players at a lot of positions and sort out who can play and who can't. Signing vets as stopgaps is kind of a last ditch thing that you do either when you're pretty sure the young guys can't do it or the position is one that you cannot fill with a young player this year and are planning to address next season.

You guys are gonna be using this rebuilding excuse for years ,last season was the major part of rebuilding.This is the NFL in 2014 rebuilding doesn't take 5 years anymore.With 50 million in cap space and 12 picka Idzik could have seriously rebuilt almost the entire team this year if he played his cards right but who knows what his stupid plan is,I honestly think he doesn't have one anymore.If you noticed in beggining of free agency we were intrested in a lot of players but nothing happend or it wasn't true or they just simply didnt wanna play here
Just listened to Kristian Dyer on WFAN660. Well spoken guy and seems to be extremely knowledgeable. Likes Idzik's approach so far and says what many of us have said, his primary place to look for talent will be the draft. He doesn't see Sanchez back and doesn't see Vick coming in. Likes what he saw in Geno at the end of the year and loves the signing of Decker. Thought Nelson was a steal at WR and thinks the signings of Folk and Cumberland were under the radar great signings. All in all, a solid offseason so far and will make his name known in May. Good interview and fun to listen to someone other than Cimini or Mehta that is knowledgeable about this franchise.

I think this is boneheaded by Idzik if true ... Why go after MJD if Knowshawn Moreno is still available. The kid is only 27 and doesn't have the wear and tear as MJD. He put up damn good numbers in the running game. Honestly, you could get Moreno, and say peace out to Goodson and his gun issues. Ivory-Moreno-Powell sounds good, and I am all for drafting big play Tre Mason in round 2 or 3.
He had that many yards because of the Oline being the best in the league, which they aren't even close to right now. Gotta Sign someone to compete with Winters and a starter at right guard. For all we know Aboushi hijacked the Maylasian plane 10 days ago. Kidding
MJD is a battering ram just like Ivory. What use is that. Get Moreno and throw him the rock in space and stretch it out for him, he can get big plays. I just don't understand. With 30m left, I'd get in on Jermichael Finley too. Don't let Seattle just have him. Make a better offer, and see what he's got.
